Inspect and check tire pressure often. This is the most important tire-maintenance function you can perform. Refer to your machine's documentation for proper maintenance. Always give tires a gentle "run-in" period of 100 miles to get the feel of new tires--this means they should not be subjected to maximum power, abrupt lean-over, hard cornering, etc. Always match the front and rear tires for optimal handling, safety and performance. Mixing radials, or mixing radials with bias or belted-bias tires, may adversely affect handling and stability.

The charts and information on this page do not imply interchangeability. Consult your machine's manual to determine correct replacements, clearances, compatibility and stability, load-bearing capacity, speed rating, radial vs. non-radial, pattern and tread compound requirements, inflation recommendations and front-to-rear tire matching. Wrong selection can result in tire failure or loss of control with serious injury or death.

Top grade quality in a motorcycle tire from a trusted name in sport bike racing performance, the Michelin Pilot Power motorcycle tire delivers street bike motorcycle tire traction and performance second to none on both the street and the track. If you're looking for traction and reasonable wear in a front motorcycle tire, look no further than the Michelin Pilot Power motorcycle tire.
  • Real Moto GP technology from the tire company that has won 15 consecutive GPWorld Championships.
  • 20% softer rubber mix on the edges of the tread yields phenomenal cornering grip.
  • Unprecedented lean angles: 51.2 degrees in the dry on Michelin’s test track.
  • Precise handling and feedback.
  • Track day tire that is equally at home on the road.
  • W-rated for speeds up to 168mph.

Best All-Around So Far

Comments On Oct 16, 2014:First: I've had 2 sets on my STREET Triple R (RMMC) has the wrong bike name in their system. I previously used 2 sets of Dunlop SportMax Q's (The stock tires) which were tenaciously sticky in all conditions for a non-track tire. Wear on the Dunlops, however was poor. So a couple of seasons ago, I switched to the Michelin Pilot Powers. I ride about 5,000 miles per year in the Rockies and high desert of the Western Slope, where temperatures can vary wildly at all times of the year. I also ride a lot of twisty mountain roads as well as flat-out open asphalt through the desert. The PP 2 CT's are predictable and confidence-inspiring in just about everything; and the durability excellent. I have been tempted to try other tires just to see what I might be missing, but I have been so pleased with these Michelins, that I will stick with them as I buy a new set for the 2015 riding season.

Tire wear

Comments On Aug 20, 2014:We here in OZ specially on the West coast have and still find the PR2 and the Pilot Power 2's to give us the best return for our dollar. We are averaging some where in the high 19/ 20,000 k's from a set of tires. We also find the service and delivery from this supplier Jake Wilson to be second to none, very very happy with the service. We use the Pilot Power2's on the front and the Pilot Road 2 on the rear running both at 42psi or as close to it as possible.

Best Tire ever

Comments On Jan 06, 2014:This is the best Michelin tire ever. I have used Continental and Metzeler and nothing like this tire. Grip is great in wet and dry and you can take curves with super grip.

Stop searching... you have found your tires.

Comments On Oct 20, 2013:I have been riding (aggressively) for over 20 years. I road raced in the mid 90's and attend an occasional track day now. I have come across very few riders capable of overriding a good set of tires.
