    Great so far
Bought my bike and was really unhappy with the handling - enough so that I was considering selling it and buying something different. After purchasing these tires, I'm keeping my bike. What a difference. I've only taken a single ride, but it was 200mi out and back so I can't comment on the tread life, but I CAN say I'm totally satisfied with these tires.

    Love these tires.
This is my second set of these GT's. I love the way they feel on the road. I have confidence in all the corners. I am not an expert rider and I haven't leaned them all the way over but I feel I ride pretty fast in the corners and they handle well for my riding style. I don't ride too much in the wet weather but the couple times I have, they felt solid. I like the performance you get for the money. I will buy them again. The front is as good as the back. Great tires. I will buy them again.

Prefer companion to the rear shoes.
Front GT's are the perfect companion to the big rears. Match those shoes for any condition for any ride.

    Sweet spot for Oilhead
I've run PR2 and Conti T30s on this BMW R1100 RS. I typically crack a ton a few times a week, tour at 10% above, and charge mountain roads hard. I got about 8K miles on the PR2 and Bridgestone T30 Rears. (I change front and rea even if the front has more than 2 mm) The Angels are at 3 mm tread depth at 5 K miles, so the rear is likely good to 9K before Lincoln's head doesn't get buried, and the front beyond that. Grip wet & dry is similar on all 3 tires. The Angel feels more spritely. This tire hits the sweet spot for cost, longevity, and feel.

    No Feel
First off, let me say that I like a tire that gives a lot of feedback.

If you are a Q3 fan, this will be the sport touring tire for you. Like the Q3's it feels "dead", but it grips and grips and grips.

I got decent tread life out of this tire, about 4,000 miles of fast paced riding. But it is just not a tire I enjoy riding on.

The only tire that lasts more than 45 days
I ride exclusively. Rain or shine. My bike has seen over 24000 miles in the last 6 months. I have destroyed tires in as quick as 25 days. The angel gt rear is nothing short of amazing, turns in quickly, grips like I'm on a rail in those canyon turns and rides smoothly on my commutes. Even handles well in the rain. If you don't want to sacrifice performance for milage then these are the only option. You won't regret it

Great handling Tires wet or dry
The Pirelli Angel GT tires are great tires, they work equally well in the rain as in the dry. Even riding on the Blue Ridge Parkway last fall, after it raining all night and the road covered with leaves and debris, this tires were outstanding. No slipping or sliding.

One thing I really enjoyed is that regardless of how worn they are, the handling is the same as when they were new.

For backroad sport touring I can highly recommend this tire.

The clouds part and the angels sing
Over the past few years I have tried every sport tire available on my BMW K1200GT and FJR1300A. Handling and mileage are key for long distance riding ... two things that tend to be mutually exclusive. I have read all the hype on various tires and tried them ... most never live up to the praise and the insane amount of miles people claim to get out of a tire on a heavy sport touring bike. I can only imagine they are not riding at SPORT touring speeds on twisting roads. The Angel GT fronts have more even wear than any of their competitors - the edges do still wear out first for me, but no cupping or bumps/ridges at compound transitions. Consistent feel with quick, but not too quick, handling. The rear is a very predictable tire with excellent traction and good road feel. IT has more than once saved me from getting a little too aggressive on the throttle. I do believe I get better mileage out of the non-A spec tire, even on a heavily loaded FJR on spirited tours, but not by much. Both tires handle great and can last me up to 6000 miles of very exciting riding. Only caveat is that they can feel a little squirrel when cold, but heat up quickly.

There are my go to tire - and with 5 to 6 tire changes a year, I keep a set or two hanging around.

What does the "Z" stand for in a tire that is 120/70zr/17? I'm looking to find what the difference is from a 120/70r/17.
    A shopper on Feb 15, 2017
BEST ANSWER: A Z designates that the tire is rated for high speeds, 149+ mph. R designates that it's a radial tire.
