Inspect and check tire pressure often. This is the most important tire-maintenance function you can perform. Refer to your machine's documentation for proper maintenance. Always give tires a gentle "run-in" period of 100 miles to get the feel of new tires--this means they should not be subjected to maximum power, abrupt lean-over, hard cornering, etc. Always match the front and rear tires for optimal handling, safety and performance. Mixing radials, or mixing radials with bias or belted-bias tires, may adversely affect handling and stability.

The charts and information on this page do not imply interchangeability. Consult your machine's manual to determine correct replacements, clearances, compatibility and stability, load-bearing capacity, speed rating, radial vs. non-radial, pattern and tread compound requirements, inflation recommendations and front-to-rear tire matching. Wrong selection can result in tire failure or loss of control with serious injury or death.

  • Advanced Variable Belt Density (A-VBD) tire construction provides improved stability and maximum contact patch at increasing lean angles
  • Improved mileage and consistent handling and stability for full life of the tire
  • Manufacturer's road hazard warranty included
  • W-Rated
  • Tubeless

Poor tires for the price

Comments On Sep 01, 2015:I cannot remember the last time I have written a review but for you guys that actually ride your motorcycles you should probably not by this tire only two good things about these tires they balanced well with very little weight and they were easy to mount other than that these tires only went 5332 miles, the turn in was never great, wet traction was only fair at best and in the hot weather they were anything but confidence inspiring, fortunately for those of us that actually write our motorcycles I believe Avon has discontinued this tire, thank you very much.

Excellent traction, warms up quick

Comments On Sep 03, 2013:I am on my second set of these tires and absolutely love them. They perform great wet or dry and get decent mileage out of a 600lb bike with 120 ft lbs of torque. Wet braking is excellent as well. Warms up quickly as well. I will say that when they get down to the last of the tread it seems that it wears through the hard compound in the center into the softer compound and the last of tire goes real fast. I replace the front about 2k miles after the rear.

Avon Storm Ultra

Comments On Apr 29, 2011:I love the wet traction and the long wear. I usually get over 13000 miles from a set. The front usually can go longer but I like to change the set together.
