put this tire on the back to replace my 2nd Shinko in about 8k miles. i need my tires to grip, so i was a bit skeptical about using a Pirelli, but so far has gripped the road well, even deep into fast curves and switchies. the tire never slipped in wind, high speed, rough or uneven pavement didnt bother it, grooves no problem... so far, at near 1k, i dont have a single complaint, and i will be switching out my Shinko front for a matching Pirelli at next service....

Not a bad tire for the money or a great tire. I am on my 2nd one and am a little disappointed the mileage I am getting out of them, 6000 miles.. I have read several reviews that have been saying 10-12k. Not sure how they are getting that but I am not and I don't ride aggressively, ride 2 up or haul heavy loads. Going to try a different brand.

    Great tire for price
Great tire for the price, handles great, doesn't grab the grooves in the road. Getting the front tire to match.

    Pretty good tires
Got 11,800 out of rear 150/80-16. Check my air pressure before every ride and kept pressure at 38-40. After a 4500 mi trip tires looked great. Performed good in rain, and handled corners well rain or shine. Rode off a rear Dunlop in less than 6000 mi last year. So for my money this was a good investment.

GREAT TIRE. GREAT RIDE. GREAT PRICE.
I have had these tires on a previous bike (Virago) and I loved them. When I purchased my Honda Spirit I knew one of the first things I was going to replace was the tires. The price that Jake Wilson had was good, and they were offering a tire rebate on top of that!!! The Rt. 66 tires were installed locally and I noticed a difference right away. I don't know how long the tires will last on this bike, but I know that got through several seasons on my Virago. If I get anything close with the Spirit - I will be happy. For the price, ride, handling, and wear these are great tires.

    Nothing glorious here.
Fine tires, nothing special to set them apart from the others I've tried. As good as the Bridgestone Spitfire's I've used previously. When under 5000 miles, no problems but yesterday I laid my bike down because the rear tire skidded in heavy rain. It has 7000 miles and is pretty much at the end of it's life. 2/32" of tread left. I was sorely (pun intended) disappointed when it let me down as I was already slowed between 5-10mph and trying to get off the road and out of traffic. No real damage but with traffic coming, it could've been a bad scene.

I ride aggressively on dry pavement, mostly flat roads in these parts but I do make it a point to get on the few good twisty roads in the area to enjoy riding as much as I can. Still looking for a reasonably priced tire that will last more than 2 seasons with a total load of around 900lbs on them. Back to the drawing board.

Actual mileage on set of tires
Total confidence in the Pirelli MT66 tire.

20,155 odometer reading when installed on 12/27/2010

32,487 odometer reading when replaced on 03/21/2015.

No issues until worn out, you will know they are worn out the first time you get that " pucker factor" on a gouge/ripple in the road. 12,000+ miles is good enough for me. Let me know whats better and I may try them.
