These bearing always work and fit as they should. It does seem they never quite seal as well as stock and seem to not last quite as long because of this. On KTM pds suspensions this bearing takes a lot of abuse so I change them regulary.
Bought this during a full rebuild of my 01 cr250. Looks to be of good quality and fitment was perfect. It seems good going in, but anything was better than the rusted out disaster I pulled out of there. Only time will tell how long it will last. This is for my spare bike so I'm expecting it to last a long time.
The only reason, so far, that I haven't given these bearings 5 stars is that I haven't put them to the test of riding for a full season yet. The appearance and fit are spot on though. As with every All Balls kit I've purchased so far, everything that you need is in there (minus tools and grease, of course), and they install and fit exactly like the OEM bearings, but without the associated OEM price markup. They appear to have equal or better quality than stock, but only time will tell how they hold up. For now, I see no reason not to buy All Balls bearings.
Fit is acceptable, however, it is difficult to start the shock yoke over the bearing's outer faces. It would help installation if the edge of the outer faces were chamfered.
I'm glad it came with two clips - just to be safe in case you lose one. Good fitment - took a little force getting it in though but at least it's not a sloppy fit!
WARNING!!! Reservoir side dust seal DOES NOT fit. I found it to be 1mm too big and did not fit in the opening. The bearing and other dust seal fits great...but the kit is useless without the proper reservoir side dust seal. The actual bearing itself fit and works great ...it resolved my issue of the shock being loose sloppy and having a knock. It was simple to install and I'm happy with it.

Lower bearing and seals fit great, easy to install. Upper bearing went in fine but one seal doesn't fit well at all. It took a lot of swearing and pressing to get it to seat. Once in it wants to pop out but when the shock is installed the frame keeps the seal in. Less than ideal. Other than that the kit seems to be made of high quality parts.
there is nothing worse than getting replacement parts for your bike that dont quite fit. in fact if you are like me, it can mean the difference between riding and not. so when i got my All balls shock bearing kit for my KTM, i was pleased to find a perfect fit! i used a bearing press (NEVER SEAT BEARINGS WITH A HAMMER) and plenty of waterproof grease. i buttoned up the job and was back crushing rocks in the desert 20 minutes later!

Ive read several less than stellar reviews about all balls bearings, but I have only had positive experiences. Nothing different here...replaced upper and lower shock bearings and the YZ is tight! Wouldn't consider any other replacement for bearings on my bikes.

I orederd both upper and lower. The lower didn't come with the correct dust seals (but i do regular greasings). The quality seamed as good as oem and everything fit. We'll see if they hold up in the years to come.

BEST ANSWER:No. This bearing kit is for the top and bottom of the rear shock only. You would need a bushing kit, and seal kit for your front shocks. If your front wheel seems loose, it is most likely your spokes, but your front wheel bearings would cause that too. It is rare that the front wheel bearings would fail though. They are permanently sealed, and quite reliable. Get some help if you are going to rebuild your front forks for the first time. It is beyond the scope of skill and knowledge of a typical mechanic that would pose the question that you did. Not impossible, but very difficult. Definitely get a service manual.
Well, ya got me there. There is a definite difference between the YFZ, and a YZF! Sorry. I Thought the question was posted about the bike. Anyway, in that case, these bearings might fit the front shocks, but you would have to measure them. If I recall correctly, they are a bit larger in diameter, both inner and outer race. Reference the numbers on the side of the race, and you can find the dimensions on line.

The kit shown is for a shock only. The only bearings you would have in the front forks are wheel bearings and steering head. Regardless of ohlins or original.what area do feel you need bearings in the front?
I'm talking about a 2006 yfz 450 QUAD. My lower shock bearings/bushings are whipped. Olin front shocks if that makes a difference. Sorry for the mix up. I only find kits labeled for the rear shock lower. Wasn't sure if the eyelets on the rear lower and front lower shocks were identical. Thanks
Oh I'm sorry. Haha. Thought the bike. I did a little checking on pivot works and all balls sights. Neither offer anything for the front. Check the Yamaha online parts finder at rmatv. You may have to order OEM and maybe some sort of bushing instead of a needle bearing as used in rear. Also I would check with ohlins just incase some difference. I would think there won't be tho. Hope that helps some.
