WIRE BROKE ON INSTALLATION
My previous Tusk grip heater (on bike for 2 yrs)finally broke a wire on the throttle side. I installed new grip heaters on bike and the non-throttle side wire broke on installation, probably my fault being a little ham-fisted. The throttle side works great

Good bang for your buck
Install was pretty straight forward thanks to the wiring diagram. I installed the heating elements over my grips with zip ties for added security and then installed grab on grip foam grip covers over them. Heat comes through evenly on both sides and is definitely warm enough to keep my hands comfortable.

Toasty hands on the KLR
So far so good. Resistor is a little bulky and flimsy looking. Remove it and don’t worry about any wire heating issues. Keeps Palms and fingers toasty on cold days. Put these on a klr 650, will be putting on my KTM as well.

Grip heaters
They really help on those cold mornings or when you get caught in a cold summer rain at high altitudes.

A must for cooler weather
These install easy need to install with new grips. My only recommendation is to wire the left side on high and the right side on low as your handlebar acts link a heatsink vs the throttle tube.

Great price and worked great
Bought these to replace current heated grips on my 03 Kawasaki prairie 650. It had western power sports heated grips and they where to big around for the wife and hurt her hands after a short ride. Straight forward and easy to use. Wrapped them with a set or pro taper pillow top grips.

Is it difficult to get the handle grips back on with the heaters on the handle bars ?
JOHN R on Dec 4, 2017
BEST ANSWER: John, it was a little work but not bad, I used little lube on mine... FYI wrap the clutch side bar with surgical tape, straight on the aluminum bars will pull heat fast!!! throttle side will burn your hand and clutch side your hand will freeze. pulled clutch side off and wrapped with cloth athletic tape and makes huge difference... I ended up ordering two sets of grips, and putting two throttle grips on, and put more wrap on the clutch side, now temp is perfect on both sides. YOU WILL NEVER OWN ANOTHER BIKE WITHOUT THEM!!!!! Merry Christmas!
Where did you mount this on the KTM 690? In the video it shows drilling a hole in the plastic, but there is not any plastic in the handle bar area to drill for the 690.
Bryan B on Mar 8, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Which part are you talking about?
The video shows it being installed on an atv not a bike.
I put them on my KTM 300xcw, but I was looking for a smaller low profile switch.

You can mount the toggle switch wherever you want.
i have a 2015 ktm 200 xc-w with headlight. where and which wire should i tie into? color and location please?
MICHAEL V on Dec 5, 2017
BEST ANSWER: where ever there is power. people choose different power outlets all the time. here is a video that better explains it. you can tie into anything with power. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qn00DrapB1A
will I need new grips to install tusk heated grips on a 2013 Polaris sportsman?
Craig Z on Dec 3, 2017
BEST ANSWER: if you glued your grips on then yes cause you would have to cut them off to get them off.
What size hole do I need to mount the switch?
Shaun V on Nov 22, 2016
BEST ANSWER: This kit requires a 1/2" hole for mounting the switch.
