Great sound
I bought this to communicate with my wife when riding. They are expensive but work well. My dual sport helmet does not have enough room for speakers. I plug in earbuds with that helmet Also the edging on my helmet made it difficult to install the clamp. My street helmet wsa an easy install. Easy setup and easy controls

Excellent Bluetooth Communication System
First off, let me start by saying I had the Chatterbox System back in the late 90's. We all thought it was so great to be able to communicate with each other when traveling without having to try motorcycle sign language.

The Sena 10S is leaps and bounds better than the old Chatterbox as good as it was for its time.

This unit is nice and small and less cumbersome than the old Chatterbrick (er box). The sound is very clear using all the functions even phone calls. I've had people tell me that they couldn't tell I was on the motorcycle and heard no wind noise on their end. This is quite impressive even when moving.

The radio function is nice and being able to play Pandora through the speakers via Bluetooth is nice when taking long boring straight rides. Don't expect Klipsch quality sound bass out of the speakers but that being said, they do a more than adequate job. I could even hear the music clearly at 60mph in my Bell Star Carbon full-face helmet which is a fairly noisy helmet due to the wind it flows through it for cooling.

The features and controls are very comprehensive but do take some time to learn what the buttons do and the sequence in which to press them. Take your time to learn them and you'll be very happy.

Battery life on the 10S is amazing too. I charged it the first time and between the first time I charged the unit, using it for at least 4 hours intermittently and the second time I charged the unit 30 days later, it had battery life left.

Make sure to do a factory reset prior to syncing the unit as my friend had an issue trying to sync his unit until doing the factory reset.

Lastly, I had read some reviews regarding being careful when pressing buttons on the unit when moving. I've read that the clip that holds the main unit to the base is easy to accidentally press and the unit can come off and I can see how that could happen. Prior to using the 10S, I actually drilled a little hole on the base where the clip attaches and put a paperclip type pin in it to keep the unit from detaching as long as this pin is in. I got this idea from reading online where someone who had lost their unit on the road and didn't want this to happen to me.

Drill the hole so that when you attach the unit, the pin (clip) will be on the outside of the clip.

Awesome!
Got these for a dirt bike trip to Hatfield McCoy. They worked flawlessly. First motorcycle Bluetooth set I've had. Easy to set up, sound was great. Rode the mountains for 3 days and never lost intercom connection with my son. Just wish I had got them sooner.

How big is this? I am looking for something to mount to my ear muffs and buy an extra mount for my helmet then move the main unit back and forth.
MARK W on Apr 18, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I would say that if your earmuffs have a steel spring over the top connecting them that hold fairly tight it ought to be doable. My guess is that you will probably end up with the band going up between the mounting bolts. To save some weight on that side you might be able to use the "stick on mount" and just cut most of it off for even more weight savings. If you wear the muffs on anything that moves I would look into making some sort of tether so a hard jolt doesn't pop the muffs and unit off. As for the weight???? Tape a regular D cell battery to the left side of your muffs. Then do whatever activities you would be doing. If that doesn't slip the muffs off, you should be ok. Otherwise you may need a bit of counterweight such as stick on wheel weights on the right side to balance the rig out. With the dual set, you won't need to buy any extra mounts there are two clamp on and two "stick on" mounts included. Hope that helps
Are they voice activated?
