Installed on a 2013 KTM 250 xcf-w that ran flat nothing after 1/2 throttle. Installed pipe it now has punch all through power band almost as fun as a sxf! If you own a xcf-w uncork your bike this pipe is best modification for exhaust. It's night and day on power delivery!
This gave me a bit of performance boost and a SA to be compliant. Easy to remove SA for when I convert to snowbike with the Timbersled kit. Great sound!
The pipe its self works & sounds great, just a little rough around the edges
The joint doesnt fit cleanly to an oem header pipe, it requires a sealant to close the exhaust leak. The manufacturers sticker was torn off and the end cap finish around the exit tip was a little rough. Its almost as though it was a factory blemish pipe
I was looking for a spark arrestor for my bike and nothing I found was all that great so I decided to try this pipe and so far it's really good. Sound is awesome, definitely louder than stock but not so loud you can't stand it. Installation was easy and fits great! The spark arrestor is a piece of cake to change when the time comes. I would recommend it for a cheaper alternative compared to the high cost of some of the others.
Bought this for my 2017 kx450f, love the pipe. The only bad this I ha e to say about it is that it melted my plastics because the bend isn't as sharp as the factory pipe.
good buy for under $300.00 just make sure you have some type of high temperature rvt gasket maker to seal it to the stock header
picked this up for my 15 250fx and it made a noticeable difference in the low to mid range power. I did not need to tune the bike first just installed and went riding. the pipe is louder than stock but not so much that it's obnoxious. for under $300.00 you cant go wrong. also had other bikes with full exhaust systems that got hot I could feel through my boots but this did not give me that problem.
I put this silencer on my KTM after taking all of the emissions junk off, and it really woke the bike up. This silencer is fairly loud, but still tolerable. Installation was easy, and the fit&finish is great.
Easy to install, looks good, reduced weight from stock muffler, and nice sound without having to remap. The only issue I had was that it is burning holes in the number plate. Even with a spacer and heat tape on the number plate. Sent back to FMF and they installed a bumper on the mid pipe where the bend is too extreme before it enters the muffler.

My crf450x now has a similar tone to my friends crf450r, the rhythm is still different due to the r's more aggressive cam.
The stock exhaust was restrictive and very quiet, so I removed the baffle from the stock muffler and it was too loud. This FMF pipe is a happy medium between the two.
One thing I did not like was where the mid-pipe connects to the header pipe, I would like to have a metal clamp similar to the stock one instead of using high temp silicone. But overall the fit was good.

This sounds great on my WR250F - the right amount of bark without being obnoxious. Fit is perfect and it looks awesome. It also compliments the competition ECU kits very well. Bike runs perfect.

If you are looking for a great pipe for this price its a steal. the only thing is. Is that the spark arrestor is holding back all of that power and all it takes is a little allen wrench to put it on and go buy a new clamp if putting on stock header.

Of note, this slip-on doesnâ??t use a tightening band to connect to the header pipe in the same way that the stock exhaust does. Itâ??s a matter of applying a thin layer of silicone to the pipe where it connects to the header per the instructions. The exhaust note didnâ??t change much over stock and I honestly didnâ??t notice any changes in power. The spark arrestor can easily be removed if need be without disassembling the pipe and of course it looks much nicer.

If you've mangled your pipe in a crash, look no further. This is a great pipe at a great price. I can't say one way or another about any power increase as I've never ridden my bike with an OEM pipe, but I wouldn't hesitate to buy FMF again.
Only complaint is that the "graphics" on the pipe scratch very easily and the graphics on one side peeled completely off.

Very happy with this silencer! Added noticeable power to my WR. If you aren't a fan of a little more noise you may not like it but the price is better then the Q4.

I bought the Core 4 and ran it for a short while, but the sound made my ears ring so I bought the quiet insert. It made it quieter, but not as quiet as I was hoping for. It's cheap though and worth the price. I the power didn't seem to change much, maybe just slightly softer on the bottom.

Does it come with the spark arrestor installed? If not, what does it take to install it? Will it fit my 2016 YZ450f stock exhaust system, frame and side panels without modifications?

All the newer YZ/WR platforms are pretty much the same set up. Mine fit just fine. Yes spark arrestor is in when u get it. I took mine out. It fit my crf450 just like stock exhaust but I did get the header pipe as well mega bomb. Love this exhaust sounds awesome.
it did come with a spark arrestor installed. the pipe did fit up to my 2014 yz450f with no mods. i dont believe the bike changed much from 2016. i would double check with Yamaha.
