This is hands down the best two stroke oil I have ever come across. I have been riding and a licensed mechanic for over 25 years. Had a 2012 Yz 250 with 150 hrs and stock ring, never a dirty power valve.....and I run em fat!
So as an oil it's 5 star, for my riding it's not good. I don't race and just ride slower speed single track. Due to it's high flash-point it's not good for technical single track. I switched to 710 and no spooge and it's great. So for MX or flat out desert racing it might be 5 stars, for trail it's no bueno.
This oil is expensive, but worth it! It is the only two stroke oil I have ever run. Your motor will love it also, as it will be extremely clean and well lubricated.
This oil costs an astronomical amount compared to the others- BUT if your running an old 2 smoker Motul will keep you clean and prevent the bike from being a spooge factory
Pistons and rings last longer--exhaust silencer packing, spark plug all run cleaner and last longer
124 hours on the bottom end of my sons KX100 and It could have gone longer. The only reason I tore it down was to build a 109. I run this oil in every 2-stroke I have. It is excellent.
Have used in KTM 300 cross country racing. At 180/190 hours pistons have had only i 1 carbon spot smaller than the tip of my little finger and sometimes a spot much smaller. Spurge/ more open tracks run 50-1 & tighter tracks run 60-1. Plug still looks good but change with top end.
I use MOTUL 800 in all of the dirt bikes we ride, everything from a kx 65 to a ktm 300. Love the way it lubes the moving parts in the engines, and it blends very well with the gas we use.I would recommend MOTUL 800 to any one who races there bikes or run them at high rpm Side note it smells great also
Although this oil is quite expensive, all you have to do is put some on your finger, and you'll know how good it is. If you're looking for an oil that will coat your cylinder, this is the oil that will do it.
Been using this on my Ktm 300xc. Running it at 50:1 and it's one of the cleanest burning oils that I have tried. Bike's been running great on it as well.
Great oil but best used for harder/faster riders. It will spooge some if rider is not on the pipe enough. We use at 48 to 1 and we race hare scrambles/motocross.
We do a lot of desert racing and have 5 KTM 2 strokes to maintain, this is the only oil we run. At the KTM recommended 60:1 Ratio this oil provides the protection your engine needs to withstand the abuse you can throw at it. If you research 2 stroke oils in depth you will find that this oil has one of the highest breakdown temperatures of any on the market making it great for high revving engines over time.
Have used Motul oil in every 2 stroke I've had over the yrs. Since the early 90's. Now I'm still using it in my sons kx 65 twenty yrs later and still no motor issues. Best oil they make.
Great stuff. Went from 32:1 with all other oils to 60:1 with Motul. Mixing oil wars on forum sites are crazy, if you've researched, you know what I mean. Everyone has their favorite. Mine was Amsoil Dominator in the winter, and Maxima 927 in the summer for a very long time. But this stuff is just that much better in my opinion. Give it a try.
I have found this oil to come highly recommended and it seems to be as good as advertised. My only complaint is that it does have a high flash point and when doing technical trail riding it does generate a significant amount of dripping out the pipe. If you want an oil that works great for high speed riding where you are on the pipe, then this would be perfect.
I have tried a lot of different 2 stroke oils. This oil has a higher flashpoint for racing. As a result, I experienced more spooging out the exhaust of my 2-stroke than I was expecting. I am a lugger, not a racer. If I rode my bike harder, I expect some of the spooge would go away.
I've used this oil in my 70cc RC car, and other small engines with great results! I even tried to lean seize a 27cc engine with this oil by leaning the high speed needle until it was staving for fuel at full throttle! It kept running with no damage! Great oil...
Ther is a lot of really good oils out there. After using them all I like Motul 800 ester 2 stroke oil the best. When disasembling an engine it is always nice and wet. Really never had an oil related failure with the 800 ester oil. Pricey, but you know the saying you can pay a little more now or a lot more later.\Great Oil
This is the best price around for the best oil out there! I just bought 2 more to have on hand, it goes for $75 at the shoppes near me, I will keep buying from rockey mountain!

50 to1 how much oil.per.gallon???
A shopper
on Feb 25, 2017
BEST ANSWER:To be accurate you must use your fuel measure cup. Buy 2 so you have 1 in your shop and 1 in your truck. This will be the only way to get a perfect ratio and rinse out measure cup with a little gas into your vessel as you fill up. That 50:1 ratio ( in your measure cup) is per every gallon you make.

That depends on the bike, and your preference. Ktm little bikes call for 50:1 or even 60:1, we have Yamaha big bikes and run 32:1. This oil is the best out there though, in my opinion. You just have to rub some between your fingers to understand what I mean.
Not Sure about newer bikes, but have an 05 and 04 KX125 ,07 YZ125 and a YZ85,I mix them all at 32:1 and have never had any trouble. However, we do not race only trail ride.
2.56 oz. It is easiest to buy a premix measuring bottle, fill to the line related to the gallons you will use and bring the right amount to the gas station.
BEST ANSWER:To be %100 sure you should check Motul's website From what I know full synthetic oil does not go bad, and also it has a wider operating temperature range than non-synth. I have bottles sitting for close to a year.

no shelf like or exp date. Motul 800 is the only oil I would recommend. I have been racing 2 strokes for over 30 years and Motul makes your engine last the longest!!!!!! I never burn out pistons/rings etc.
i have had some for about a year and it seemed to be ok. I go thru 2 stroke oil pretty quick .Between my 3 sons and myself we have 5 2 stroke bikes,so it does'nt set on the shelf long at my house
Mosteoporosis manufacturers recommend 5 year shelf life. Pour it into a clean clear container first and make sure there is no seperation or clumping. If there is don't use it.
