Nice container to hold your extra spark plug and keep it safe and easy to find when needed. Would have been nice if it came with instructions, but a quick google search had a video of how it works.
Great little carrier for the easy access space inside the KTM air box. Just put a fitting screw underneath into your seat so the carrier gets located inside the air box. Some loop and hook tape makes is hold even better. I never take the whole carrier out anymore. Just pop the lid and the Velcro tape holds the rest up. To make it complete I carry a flat Tusk spark plug wrench in a zip lock bag underneath my cross bar pad cover. That little thing has saved me a few times a walk after I fouled a plug in the woods.
Not sure why so many bad reviews, but this product is great. Easily stores a spare plug, All I did is on my EXC rear airbox there is a hole for a bolt, Threaded a 8mm head bolt into hole and spark plug holder snaps right onto it. Done!
Could use instructions and a screw. It mounts to a molded boss on the bottom of the seat. I used a small screw with 6mm hex and built in washer from the "Bolt" european fastner kit. The hex on the screw is a little too tall and will need to be machined or ground down a little to fit the holer.
It also holds two spare fuses.
If it came with instruction and a mounting screw I would give it 5 stars.
Machine this part was bought for: 2014 KTM 200 XC-W
Works great for protecting a spark plug, i threw it in my fender pack among tools and parts and don't have to worry about it getting damaged. I don't understand why people gave it bad reviews, it works just fine for me.
Machine this part was bought for: 2007 KTM 450 EXC 4-Stroke
i ordered this thinking it would fit somewhere under the seat yeah i guess there is room for it but how do you mount it? and it's really bulky to carry a whopping one plug I have seen better two plug carriers that are not as big!
This is probably the worst product I have ever ordered from Rocky Mtn. It is very cheaply built and the cap/lid isn't sealed so if I could mount it under the seat there is a good possibility that the plug could get dust and/or water on it. I can't find where under the seat that it could be mounted. A great idea though if only the quality was better.
BEST ANSWER:The sparkplug holder does not come with instructions/suggestions on where to mount it. However, it has a fairly simple mounting system that uses a screw or small bolt (not included) which enables you to mount it wherever you like, provided you have an available screw/bolt. In my opinion, the best place to mount it is in your airbox, because it's safe (won't get knocked-off by a tree branch or rock, and it's accessible without any tools (you don't have to remove the seat.

Look under your seat if it has a molded standoff then add a screw to it and then the holder snaps closed on to that screw I have a 2013 KTM 300 XCW and that's where mines fit (had to rotate it so it does not hit the battery)
I took off the airbox cover on my ktm 150sx. I tucked the holder up inside the empty battery box. I put velcro on the plastic holder and the battery box. It never came loose after 60hrs and many jumbs
