Cheap and Effective

Comments On Apr 12, 2015:Good price and fit for a piece of plastic that is guaranteed to be worn down.

did not fit snugly around the swing arm

Comments On Apr 03, 2015:Did not seem to fit snug as it wrapped around the nose of the swingarm. Suggest applying silicon gasket compound on the inner surface before installing. Otherwise grit gets between the slider and swingarm and the vibration causes the slider to wear a notch in the aluminum swingarm.

Not too bad

Comments On Mar 26, 2015:Its not as nice as some other, high dollar sliders, but for a cheap and easy replacement im pretty satisfied

Wears okay.

Comments On Mar 24, 2015:About the same qaulity as OE. Seems like a harder plastic, not sure exactly what it is made of. Will most likely not buy again, after about 10 hours on it is wearing a bit. Check my chain every ride, not too loose or too tight. Time will tell. Seems to be lasting about the same as OE.

Doesn't even come close to fitting on the swingarm

Comments On Mar 08, 2015:The molding is completely off on this item for my 2005 HONDA CRF250R. The notch is in the wrong place for the weld on the swing arm. This causes it to not sit flush and the chain cannot fit between the lower chain roller and the slider. The amount of material that you would have to cut away on the slider in order for there to be enough clearance renders it useless. Save yourself the hassle and order OEM on this part.

Does the job for the price.

Comments On Sep 09, 2014:Intalled easy and fit good except for the front sproket rubbing. Didn't seem to hurt anything so I ran it. The sproket rubbed a hole in it after the first ride but didn't harm anything. It worked fine for the price.

'05 CRF250R - Not a Great Fit

Comments On May 20, 2014:This slider doesn't fit quite right on my '05 Honda CRF250R. The length and fastener locations are all perfect, however, the corner on the lower, inside of the slider doesn't correspond well to my swingarm's weld. The "corner" on the inside of the slider (lower part) is too far forward from where it is supposed to be.------------------------
As a result, this reduces clearance between the slider and the lower chain roller. When my suspension is completely unloaded, it actually pinches the chain a little bit between these components and makes it harder to spin the rear wheel. I noticed this when trying to spin the wheel when the bike was on the stand. When the bike is off the stand and especially when I'm sitting on it, this clearance opens up a lot and is then not an issue.-------------------------
So, this will really only affect me in the following two situations: when I'm in the air and when my bike is on the stand. It doesn't completely bind up the chain, but makes wheel spin more difficult than it should be. As the plastic components wear, the situation would get better.
For an '05 CRF 250R, I would not buy this product again. Get the OEM part. Not much more expensive.
