Great jacket!
I would recommend this jacket! Super buy for the money over many high end jackets. Very warm with liner down to temps in the low 30’s. Haven’t had a chance to wear it in the rain yet. Very comfortable!

This is an amazing Enduro jacket....at any price!
Started today's trail ride in my new A.R.C. jacket with outside temps around 40 deg under cloudy skies. Zipped up with the liner removed wearing only a tee shirt, body armor, and mesh jersey. I sayed perfectly worm through the mud and deep water holes. Mid-day the sun came out and the temps went to 60. I opened three vent zippers on the A.R.C. jacket and it was like I turned on the air conditioning. This is an amazing jacket. I removed the back and shoulder armor from the jacket and found the it still fit perfectly over my body armor. High quality, super comfortable, built in armor, and water resistant. I could not have hoped for anything more!

Still not waterproof
Great improvements over old style but still not waterproof. Leaks or dampness after about an hour in the rain. It is still great bang for your money but I'm on my 4th adventure jacket and nothing is fully waterproof. I'm going to have to buy Klim next. Lots of great features and I wear it daily so I still rate it highly.

Good for the price but short of excellent.
I've owned this jacket for one riding season, great ventilation and waterproofing. However the collar valcrow is weak and I've had stitching come loose on the hydration tube elastic along with the right sleeve tie down. The reflective piping is also chaffing in some places. Over all I like the jacket i just wish I could get the matching pants in my size. The stitching issue is the only thing keeping it from five stars. And I wish they had an additional snap to keep the collar closed.

Great jacket!
OK so i Have on this jacket or a little over a year now but I wanted to wait to I used it often enough to give a fair review.

I own a summer Alpinestar dummer mesh jacket and this one for the rest of my seasons.

This past weekend I went through about 2 hours worth of a rainstorm and I was dry.... This is been the 2nd rain storm and both times I have remained dry.

The ventillation is adequate I would like to see longer sleeve and shoulder openings but the back ventillation panels help tremendously as well.

Plenty of pockets many of which are waterproof ...tested ...seem to be OK.

Comes with plenty of armor... I added chest armor into the inside and external pockets even though it's not built for it seems to do just fine.

Over all it is a great jacket and I would consider buying it or its next generation again.

Great jacket!
Love this jacket! For the price, it’s everything I needed and wanted. Great ventilation, materials and comfort. I have wide shoulders so I ordered an XL, the arms are a little long in the arms but still fits great.

Great jacket, great fit, great features!
This is a great jacket so far, rode through a typical Alberta September rain storm and didn't get wet except for just a little around the collar that ran off my helmet. I have a 41" chest, 190lbs, 5'10, and according to the chart I would be on the bottom end of size large. I took a chance and went with the medium and glad I did, it fits perfectly.

I love Battleborn gear.
Just got the jacket and put about 50 miles on it today. Weather was about 85 degrees and with the liner removed and all of the vents open I stayed comfortable. I think the features on the jacket make it an incredible value, haven't tested the durability or protection yet but it feels very well made. I wanted to order the pants but was told by a Rocky Mtn employee that the line is being discontinued.

Very good jacket
As a new rider, I love this jacket so far. It feels super safe with the durable fabric and the armor pads in it give me a lot of peace of mind as well. It’s been 80+ every day I’ve worn it and as long as you open all the vents and keep moving it’s not a problem. I have yet to test it in the rain and cold. Fit great with a little room for a coat underneath. Good pocket size in the front and the pouch in the back for a water bladder is a life saver.

I usually wear mediums. I’m 5’10”, 170lbs, 40” chest. I plan on wearing my Fox Titan armor underneath the jacket. I hear they run a size small, so I thought about getting a Large. Will I be fine in a larger with the Fox Titan armor on, or should I get a XL? Or am I thinking too much...
Jordan O on Feb 1, 2018
BEST ANSWER: these do have a liner so they are a little snug if you run that armor under neath i would say get the large but we do have our fit guarantee for this exact purpose. free shipping on the first exchange so you can try this out and see if it will fit. i hope this helped.
Is the armor removeable?
Mike S on Nov 7, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes, the pockets hold the armor in place and can be removed quite easily. I was even able to add more armor on top of the pads included. I put additional D3o armor into the pockets with the included pads just fine.
Medium grey is discontinued or just out of stock at this time? Had it in my wish list and it showed up as discontinued.
Matthew R on May 16, 2018
BEST ANSWER: We are currently out of stock. The current ETA is for August.
Do the two pieces zip together at all?
Tadashi A on Nov 2, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes they do.
Do the zippered vents on the BattleBorn jacket allow air to pass through the outer shell AND the water-proof Z-Liner membrane or is vented air only allowed to circulate between the outer shell and the waterproof membrane?

A.R.C. BattleBorn Adventure Jacket
A.R.C. BattleBorn Adventure Jacket
A.R.C. BattleBorn Adventure Pant
A.R.C. BattleBorn Adventure Pant
BEST ANSWER: yes they do. the Z-liner is seam-sealed to the vent zippers.
Does the battleborn jacket and pants offer protection for street riding?
John W on Jun 4, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Full Disclosure, I have not crashed in them, but the jacket & pants certainly seem to be made for encounters with pavement. The armor is all CE rated and the construction (stitching, type and weight of fabrics, etc.) is similar to other adventure/touring gear -- think of the Firstgear Kilimanjaro for example. Only compromise is the hip armor which is foam padding but you will find the same on other touring pants in this price range and considerably higher.
Should you measure your chest with or without armor? My question is does the jacket take into account such things like armor, base layers etc?
Mike B on Nov 15, 2018
BEST ANSWER: The jacket comes with armor in the elbows, shoulders and back. The thick material is very sturdy and I’ve never had an issue with rocks or dirt hitting me hard enough to feel it. I ride without any additional armor other than what comes with the jacket. As to the chest room, I have an extra large and I think there would be plenty of room to wear armor if you’d want to. The side since straps loosened up all the way should work depending on the size you order.
How does the set hold up in 90+ degree temperatures? Will it vent well enough to ditch the mesh sport jackets that I always find myself riding in during the summer? How heavy are they?
Matt F on Apr 18, 2018
A.R.C. BattleBorn Adventure Jacket
A.R.C. BattleBorn Adventure Jacket
A.R.C. BattleBorn Adventure Pant
A.R.C. BattleBorn Adventure Pant
BEST ANSWER: Vents definitely help a lot! They're better than the foul weather A.R.C. jacket and pants by far. I rode in a muggy 90° weekend recently, and it was pretty hot still. The material is thick, but you'll be glad on cooler days, and if you go down. Mesh jacket if you have room in your luggage would be fantastic, but for me I like having one set of riding gear. Battle Born is a fantastic option for not packing extra riding jacket. In hot weather I just wear cool moisture wicking tank top underneath, and if you stay moving it's not bad with vents open (esp if you have a well vented helmet). Highly recommend this jacket/pant combo. The thermals make 30's° riding a non issue as well.
Is the gear waterproof, I've seen mixed reviews online?
A shopper on Jan 13, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I’ve been riding for decades and have yet to find any gear that is going to keep you 100% dry while riding in a rain storm. I haven’t worn this gear in heavy rain, but I’ve ridden through creeks, splashing water all over myself and my bike without getting wet. The water runs right off of it. It is definitely is waterproof. Rain proof? That’s a different question altogether.
For those of you whom may have worn both colors of these jackets in the heat of summer; is the grey cooler than the black as one would assume, or are they the same?
Bill T on Apr 16, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I have the jacket in black and I ride in Southern California. I have not noticed any issues with heat absorption. I’ll take the black over the grey just on that color to hide the dirt and bugs better. It’s a great jacket. Go with what you like and ride.
Is this gear actually waterproof? I have seen mixed reviews.
shayne s on Jan 13, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I've yet to wear it in the rain but by looking at it I'm thinking it will take a while to get wet
Are there chest pockets for armor? ( thanks )
Thomas C on Dec 22, 2017
BEST ANSWER: No. But depending on what size you purchased and what additional armor you have, it is possible to wear additional armor under the jacket. I was able to wear my fox titan armor under the jacket comfortably.
What brand of hydration bladder fits in the back? Where do I purchase?
David J on May 13, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Several brands will fit. It it will hold up to a 2 liter bladder. Also check to see if Rocky Mountain ATV has any for sale.
I am 6'4, 220 lbs, 36 waist, 46 chest. What size in both Jacket and pants? 😁
Steve G on Jan 20, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I am 6’4, 200 lbs 34 W and 44 chest and the jacket in XL fits me good, but snug in chest. I use the adjustable waist to tighten up the jacket for a better fit there. Overall very happy with it, the arm length works. I passed on the pant because I have a 34” inseam and chose the icon Watchtower pants in their tall size. Very satisfied with those as well. Hope that helps.
I'm 6ft and 195lbs. What size should I buy if I want to wear Fox Titan armor under the jacket?
David L on Jan 18, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Probably large if you only wear the jacket with under shirt
Which water bladders (make/model) fit in this jacket's hydration pocket?
Thomas D on Apr 12, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I have a 2.5 liter bladder that fits very well in the jacket
Can you replace the armor with something stronger like d30?
Ian K on Dec 1, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes, you can. I just recently upgraded the back armor, it was a little difficult as the hole to put it is place is a bit small, but it can be done.
Has the A.R.C. BATTLEBORN ADVENTURE JACKET been discontinued ? or are they just waiting for new models?
Roger O on Oct 22, 2018
BEST ANSWER: This jacket is not discontinued. We are currently on back order on this line. We are expecting to have more in stock in the next week or two.
Per rockymountainATV tech support, this product is discontinued, why? I'd sure like to purchase this jacket in size: XL.
Ian D on Oct 20, 2018
BEST ANSWER: These have not been discontinued. However, we are currently out of stock. We should be getting more in stock in a week or two.
When will you be getting the small in black back in stock?
David M on Sep 28, 2018
BEST ANSWER: We currently have an estimated ETA of 10/26.
Is there an updated ETA on the gray battleborn gear?
Ty L on Sep 27, 2018
BEST ANSWER: We currently have an ETA of 10/26.
Is the jacket in XL and grey discontinued or just out of stock? If it is out of stock, when do you anticipate getting more in? Thank you.
A shopper on Sep 24, 2018
BEST ANSWER: This is currently out of stock. We are expecting to get more in by 10/26.
Will you be getting any more 2XL jackets I stock any time soon? Thanks
Matthew R on Sep 4, 2018
BEST ANSWER: It's looking like we should be getting more in stock by the end of October.
Are you still out of stock on the XL size it won't let me choose that size only medium and large ?
A shopper on Sep 4, 2018
BEST ANSWER: We should be getting more by the end of October.
Gray isn't a choice now, will it be later?
Steve M on Aug 27, 2018
BEST ANSWER: We do not have a grey option any longer. I apologize for any inconvenience.
Do you have any retailers in australia who sell this jacket?

BEST ANSWER: Unfortunately, we do not. However, we can ship to Australia.
This model doesn't come in hi-vis. Any plans for the next iteration to have a hi-vis option, and if so, when is the next iteration coming out?
Matt S on Jul 25, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Hello Matt it looks like we do not carry the Hi-vis color for this product and unfortunately I am unsure if we are going to carry it in that specific color.
