    KTM Big Tank
Great fitment. Bike still feels slim. Radiator shrouds mount up perfect. Cheaper then its competitors and better quality in my opinion.

    Nice
For an oversized tank it still looks pretty good. I only gave it 4 stars because it took a little work to make everything line up but no modifications needed. Will be handy when the timbersled goes on this winter.

Fits my 2018 Husky TE250i fairly well
Fits fairly well on my 2018 Husky TE250i . Makes left side air box number plate a bit difficult to slide back on however. Other than that fitment is good and looks good. Didn't come with a vent hose and instruction sheet was pretty useless. Use a wire to feed fuel pump into new tank and through holes in bottom..look up a video on it.

You MUST have the desmog mods done or will not fit over bracket on right had side under the tank.

Works as it should, only con being fitment
For the price the Acerbis tank is reasonable. I went with this tank on my 350 Sx-f so I wouldn’t have to pit during a race. The fitment is sub par and reflects the $200 price. The shrouds require some twisting and flexing to line up but I almost never remove my shrouds from the tank when I remove the tank so it’s not too big of an issue. The tank works as it should and didn’t break the bank. If I were to do it over again I would dish a little more money out and probably buy the IMS tank for the better fitment and it being more narrow in the crotch area. But all in all you can’t go wrong with this tank.

Does this tank sit higher where the gas cap is?
    Trina U on Jan 24, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes, on my 2009 KX450F the cap is about 2-3 inches higher than the stock tank. I didn't need a bigger tank, the stock tank cracked and this one was much cheaper. It works perfectly
Will this tank fit a 2019 KTM350 EXCF if I do a thermostat bypass ?

Does this fit the yz restyle kit?
    A shopper on Aug 17, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I bought this tank as past of a 2003 YZ update project. The tank fit the seat and upgraded plastics like it was made exactly for my application. I would go this exact route again if I had to do it over.
Hey Gday from down under, i am looking for a larger, fuel tank for a 07-08 Husaberg fe 450 for my 08 berg. But your system only lets me enter feild for newer Husabergs. Any help in finding a larger tank greatly appreciated.
Also are bergs not sold as road as road legal in the US? As i see they aren't in the dual sport section just the dirt one. Thanks in advance cheers
    Hadrian H on Aug 21, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Unfortunately, we don't carry any fuel tanks for your Husaberg or the newer models either. I apologize for the inconvenience. The FE450's were marketed as Enduro bikes with a headlight and taillight, but no turn signals thus not allowing them to be street legal from the factory.
Will this tank work with works connection radiator braces?
    Daniel H on Jun 29, 2019
BEST ANSWER: As long as they have the same mounting holes for the fairings it should. The bolts a a little stubby so might have to run to the hardware store in case your braces are thick.
For the black tank, is there any way to view how much gas is left?
    A shopper on Apr 21, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I have the white tank (not clear/white) and there is no way to tell how much fuel is left other that to take the cap off or guess by the how much fuel you can hear or feel sloshing around in there. It doesn’t matter too much though since you have two reserve “tanks”.
i am interested in buying thus 3.0 tank for my 2014 ktm 450 sxf. on average how many miles does this tank give you ?
    luis R on May 30, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Miles per gallon? We do not do testing on MPG. That is determined on many things out of our control: modified engine, aftermarket exhaust, is the bike ridden on single track trails, MX or sand dunes. All that determines the MPG not the size of the tank.
Does the tank come with petcocks for both sides or you need to use your stock one? Thanks
    Raphaël R on Jun 16, 2019
BEST ANSWER: My bike is fuel injected but if you have a petcock, I'm willing to bet you will have to mount and use your existing.
Will this tank go atleast 50 without having to fill up? I’m a desert racer.
    tanner t on Apr 11, 2019
BEST ANSWER: When I race it seems I get 17 mpg up to 50 mpg with my 500 xcw

So, depending on how much you are on the throttle, the 5.1 gal will go 80 to 250 miles. I love the range of it. It also fit good. Only down side is having to pull the fuel pump from stock tank and mounting it in the 5.1
It was relatively easy to take out and mount but just woukdnt want to go back and forth between tanks often
Will this tank fit a 2018 Yamaha YZ250FX? Also can it fit with radiator guards. I have the devol radiator guards
    Ryan J on Oct 18, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I can’t confirm that it will fit your bike but if you list what bike you have, this website will show you of it fits or not. I was able to get it to fit with the same guards on my cr500af but I had to drill another hole in the guard to fit flush without hitting the tank.
All the YZ250 pictures looks like the radiator shrouds stick out and aren't flush with the gas tank. Am I seeing that right?
    A shopper on Oct 3, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I had to trim the shrouds on the yz125 to get them to sit flush. Other than that its a good fit
will this tank fit an IMS dry break? i see the cap section screws on and looks like its cut for the dry break, i just want to make sure.
    sage w on Dec 10, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I have the Acerbis tank on my KTM, but I am not familiar with the specifics of the IMS dry break. I don't know if it is cut for the IMS dry break, so I cannot provide a definite answer one way or the other. Sorry, but I just don't know.
On a 2007 CRF250R will radiator braces get in the way of any part of the tank?
    Hayden H on Jun 24, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I have a 2005 450R and I had to trim an inch of material off the top of the brace for it to fit with this tank. Brace is weakened but still stronger than stock. I assume you will probably have the same issue on your 250R
Will 3 gallon tank fit a 2014 ktm 300 xcw with trail tech fan?
    TIM B on Oct 17, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Tim, after checking out trail tech fans on rmatv web sight I don't believe there is room for the fan kit? I have a hard time just getting to my radiator cap. also on trail tech page there is a notation stating it will not work with oversize tank? Good luck Nicky
Does anyone know if the Acerbis tanks usees brass threaded inserts for mounting ?
    Jason K on Jul 19, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I mounted the Acerbis tank 1.5 years ago on my 2017 KTM 300 XCW. I just went and verified, and the screws that hold the shrouds on thread into plastic recess holes in the tank, just like my KTM tank does. I used an original KTM petcock on the Acerbis tank and it has worked great. It also appears to use the same type of screw-into-plastic screws that hold the shroud on. I love the Acerbis tank because it fits like factory original, with every little indent and recess exactly matched to fit the shrouds, seat, and everything else. In other words, it's a perfect fit and I haven't had any leakage issues. It is the exact same width as the stock tank, with the extra fuel being held in the taller fuel cap area. I can still easily reach my spark plug for removal. I highly recommend the Acerbis tank.
does it come with petcocks for both sides of tank? and hoses if not where do you list that at?
    jeffrey G on Jan 30, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Not for the both sides just the reserve side, for the main one u need to use the one you have it on the old tank, comes with hoses yes and remember one thing u have to shut one side off and open only the main petcocks otherwise too much gas goes into the carb.

Will this work with a Trail Tech fan and OEM thermostat on my 2017 KTM 300XCW?
    LUCAS S on Mar 6, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I would say yes but some radiator braces might need a little modification to fit your fan and factory thermostat would be fine
This would be for a 2016 YZ250X. Can you still access the spark plug to do a trail change in the off-chance that a plug is fouled?
    John D on Dec 10, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I have one on a 2017 yz250x and plug access is good. Tank feels slim and keeps a flat seat profile. I installed the tusk quick disconnect on the crossover line for easier tank removal Wich worked out great.

    Hello, Brian.

Thank you for your reply to my question. I intend to purchase this large tank for my KTM EXC-F 500 SIX DAYS 2017, but before I do so I would like to clarify something else regarding this tank. Does this tank have a small(approx. 2cm x 3cm) square hole on the rear(seat side), so I can attach the metal base for the fuel connector? The original tank that came with the bike has this property, and without this access point for the fuel connector the bike will not run.

    Thank you for your help.

    Tadashi N on Jun 17, 2017
BEST ANSWER: If you order the correct tank for the correct bike, there will be a hole cut for the electrical connection needed for the bikes fuel injection. Bikes with carborators don't need the hole for electrical connection.
