I have to be honest and say I was skeptical about this wedge working like I wanted it to. It is a hard rubber-ish material and I wasn't sure it would grip the underside of the skid plate and hold the front wheel off the ground. I installed it and was pleasantly surprised that it holds the bike in place. Even while working on the bike and it moving a bit on the stand the wedge holds the front wheel off the ground. At first, I thought it was a bit spendy but after getting it I found the quality and ease of install and use is much cheaper than a new stand. I did have to trim it because it was wider than my stand but I'd rather do that than have it too small to begin with. I measured, marked it and used a jig saw to cut it. I then used a fine flat file to round the edges where I cut. It comes with the mounting bolts too.

My only regret is not getting a lift stand sooner. It could be built beefier, but it lifts and holds my bike fine. Way easier than lifting the bike.
