ATVs are made to go just about anywhere. Unfortunately, there are some places that a quad can get to that aren’t so easy to get out of. For those times when you’re stuck and need a little help, there’s an ATV winch. When you have a winch installed on your four wheeler, you don’t have to worry quite as much about mud or marshes. And if you do any winter riding, a winch is indispensable. Not only are winch-operated snow plows much easier to use than their hand-operated cousins, but a good ATV winch can literally be the difference between life or death if you find yourself stuck in the snow alone on a wintery afternoon.
At Rocky Mountain ATV/MC, we stock winches from three respectable brands: Warn, Tusk and Polaris. In fact, you’ll find so many Warn ATV winches here that you might not know where to begin. Here are a few things to look for when shopping for winches:
Of course, if you’re looking for the best ATV winch around, you can’t go wrong with real reviews from actual customers. That’s why you can read what our past customers have said about their experience with any product on our site.
Now is the time to equip your quad with one of the finest winches around. Don’t wait until it’s too late. Take a look at our impressive selection, and buy an ATV winch today!

2012 Honda Foreman 500 ES 4x4 - For the record RMATV uses Warn mounting plates for winch, other than the mounting plates the rest is Tusk (RMATV). This kit came with everything and was complete. The winch seems to be as good as any and had no problems moving the plow blade after the install. I would consider buying the winch again, but I would look for a different mount plate. Install wasn't the easiest, the instructions were a little unclear at one point and I still wasn't able to avoid that inevitable trip to the hardware store for some bolts that fit better. To elaborate, there is a spot on the bottom of the mounting plate where the winch mounting bolts contact the frame work of the machine. Using the mini head version of these metric bolts allow enough clearance to make fore a better fit but still do contact the frame slightly. Space is tight and I was out of ideas so I left it like this (see photo). This kit also mounts the winch below the fair-lead so once you have it installed be prepared to unwind the entire winch and wind it in reverse so that the rope feeds off the top of the drum and not the bottom. Also know that doing the will cause your winch button to be backwards, so now out is in and vice versa and you'll have to fix that. This kit also recommends mounting the contactor in the rear near the battery. I'm okay with that but this leaves the wiring for the winch button about 2 feet short and needs to be extended. Honda's Electric Shift eats up most of the real estate on the bars so I made a custom winch switch mount that put it close enough for my thumb to mostly reach. The stock cheesy bracket that comes with the kit won't let you get the switch even remotely close to your left hand for operation.Read All Reviews
