Sweet addition for a solo rider
Add some strength to your swing arm and Add some color to your bike. Easy to install and gives great pease of mind when speeding through rock gardens or spinning the tires in shale.

Bullet Proof Designs Chain Guide/Swingarm Guard
I wanted to protect my swingarm and had just replaced all sprockets, chain, and chain guard. My only complaint was mine did not come with the drill bit and parts needed to drill it into the swingarm. I called Rocky Mountain about this and was told they no longer send those parts since they had some problems with mounting. The price still reflects they should have these parts included. I drilled and tapped the holes myself with my own tap and die set and installed as suggested even in my instructions it shows doing this with the parts that were supposed to be included. Be careful since you have to drill these other holes exactly or it will be hard to mount the chain guide if you do not.

You may be afraid to install this...BUT
I was afraid to install one of these things for the longest time. I finally took a hard hit in the rocks and took some damage to my swingarm. After that close call, I didn't fear taking a drill to my bike.

The install was super easy and I should have done this long ago.

Tough little guard.
Bought this to help protect the swingarm tabs from being broken off during technical riding. Install is a breeze...two bolts. I called Bulletproof directly, and it is Not necessary to tap into your swingarm. So I did not do that. Theyre pricey little parts, but cheaper than a new swingarm!

Better just install it, before its too late.
Great product to keep your chain guide straight and supported. Throwing a chain from smashing your guide can make a mess of your sprocket, hub and cases.
Better to just decrease the likelihood by installing one of these. so far i have about 30 hours through mostly hard enduro typr terrain. plenty of scratches and gashes on the guard, so its doing its job. I've had to push bikes out of the mountains twice before from shearing off guides and mashing my chain into the engine case ans swingarm.
Installation takes a bit of work, but that's just the nature of it. Better than new cases.

First Mod
My first mod to this bike and my previous bike, these save you from a potentially expensive repair in the event the swingarm gets smashed.

Easy to install just make sure mark/measure twice drill once and take your time with the tap and use wd40 or a lubricant to ensure you have clean threads for the guide holes.

10/10 would recommend and isn't the first time I've used them.

Good solid idea to protect swing arm
Nice simple design to protect potential weak spot on the Husky or KTM swing arm, especially when running through rocky trails.
Not the easiest to install, not so much difficult, but just takes time to do it right. Just don't rush it, or outcome could be less than desirable.

So with this protector is it absolutely necessary to drill the holes in the swing arm? It can't be installed otherwise?
Roderick S on Apr 26, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I installed mine without drilling holes in the swing arm and it works fine. It ties the factory drop down mounts together to add strength. It would be much stronger if you drilled the two holes, but it does say in the instructions that you can skip the drilling.
The directions say to Tap both holes with M6 Tap. I did that an now the supplied SHCS m6 Bolts are too small and hole is to big. Did i do something wrong? Are the instructions wrong?
Dustin M on Mar 16, 2019
BEST ANSWER: When I installed this part I used the supplied drill, tap and fasteners and everything worked properly. I suggest measuring your bolts and hole or tap to determine which component is wrong and correct accordingly. Hopefully you just need some larger fasteners.
Does this come with new bolts to attach the chain guide?
Greg P on May 5, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Mine came with everything needed for the install.
Followed the included instructions and it went on flawlessly.
Does this work with Acerbis chain guide?
Stanislav A on Apr 9, 2019
BEST ANSWER: It should I have it on with a BRP chain guide no problem, use some C clamps to attach it in the right position to mark the holes for drilling and tapping
