It makes a big difference for woods riding, single track, ect. It was a nice improvement from stock gearing on my ‘09 YZ-250. The fact that it’s OEM, is huge, as I only use OEM for motor work on my bike.

great for 450's
I use O-ring chains on CRF450R for MX use even though it may rob horsepower. Tired of going through standard chains and sprockets every few months. Sometimes can ride a few times without having to adjust the chain at all. Last O-ring chain I used was a "name" brand (RK I think), and it almost never stretched, but it did cost considerably more.
