The FlatLink XTV allows UTV and ATV winch owners to replace the conventional winch hook with a stronger shackle/D-Ring. Flatlink XTV folds neatly into the fairlead when not in use, and allows for a better approach angle than ProLink XTV. Utilized by search and rescue and militaries across the globe, the FlatLink XTV doesn’t require splicing and is compatible with steel or synthetic ropes up to 5/16" diameter. It attaches with a super strong aerospace-grade double-shear titanium pin and snap ring, which is easily installed in minutes. The EPDM rubber guards protect alloy fairleads, prevents rattling, and is securely attached to the FlatLink XTV with four barbed tips.
Closed System Winching™ is a technique using rigging comprised entirely of closed link hardware. The non-closable opening of common winch hooks prevent them from qualifying as secure closed links. Hooks often come loose during vehicle recovery operations due to hook safety latch failures.
The Factor 55 FlatLink qualifies as Closed System Winching™. Once a shackle screw pin is installed, the common screw pin shackle becomes a continuous closed link that securely contains the winch load until the pin is unscrewed and removed.
Easy to install, FlatLink XTV can be used with steel or synthetic winch lines up to 5/16".
The rope eye is retained in the FlatLink XTV with a 7/16" diameter 6AI-4V grade V titanium double-shear pin and internal snap ring for an ultra-secure connection.
EPDM rubber guards are attached with four barbed tips and protects fairleads and prevents rattling.
Works with common ½" and 5/8" shackles (pin and bow end), soft shackles up to 7/16", and the pin-end of ¾" shackles.
