The Fly Racing crossbar pad is a great value. Sometimes, the overall construction (i.e. sewing and edges) could be better but for my purposes (young riders), they work great. I do, however, wish that they would offer it in a larger size for my other bikes.
The stitching was all un- done and unraveling before we even took it out of the bag threw it away right off the workbench, the original, Real pad was thicker and better, anyways still had plenty of life left in it. Yeah well, I bought the bars not the pad the pad was just a piece of Chinese ....I would have been bummed if I didn't needed that pad./ On a personal note I think the bar pad should be the biggest baddest thing you can put on there for safety.
Son crash many a times. Bent the cross bar even. Had to replace before the end of the racing season. This is his first time racing and riding pro style tracks. So if your not a beginner crashing all over the place it should outlast your bars.
I purchased a second Fly Racing Crossbar Pad about a year after buying the first one. The second crossbar pad is not hemmed on the left and right sides like the first one. The lack of hemming looks cheap and doesn't look like it will hold up very well. When this one needs replaced, I will buy another brand.
