Nice aux light mount
Bought it to mount a couple of Amazon LED driving lights and it has worked perfectly. I’m running RM250 forks on my DR650 and it mounted right up. Seems well-built and finished.

Great Light Mount
Great idea for mounting lights on your bike. The best benefit of this mount is that it moves the light to where ever you are pointing your handlebars. Great idea and easy to install.

Kind of Misleading of fit for the DRZ400.
Let me start by saying the overall idea and perpous of tgis mount is great. However JNS missed on one particular model and kinda misleads with its fitment.

I have an 18 DRZ400. I got this mount as it was stated it fit both the DR650 and DRZ400. However this mount was designed initially for the DR650. Technically YES it does fit the DRZ400 as well, however JNS didnt think about the DRZ400 being liquid cooled thus didnt think about the air scoops on the tank when stating its fit. For most auxillary lighting, in full turn the lights will hit the scoops possibly damaging or breaking them. The mount itself. Does not hit the scoops.

So I ended up running the bracket through my milling machine and lengthening the mounting slots significantly to bring the mount more forward the scoops. This helped allot but I also had to modify the brackets some the lights came with. I dont see any majority of good auxillary lights working with this bracket on the DRZ400, as the bracket was designed origionally for the DR650 which dosnt have radiator scoops.

JNS should address this by making a DRZ specific bracket. Thus with all the modification I can only give this a 3 star as the fit is misleading though it does technically "fit" the bikes lower triple tree fender space. For what it is its a tad pricey as well. Id imagine it works great on the DR650 it was originally designed for though.

While this item fits well and is well made, I was disappointed to find that I had to use spacers and longer mounting bolts to ensure my auxiliary light mounting hardware would not hit the bottom of the headlight fairing plastic. There is a note in the mounting instructions to invert the light mounting hardware so the bolt head is on top, but that wasn't an option with my lights.

Will this work with a 5.8 Acerbis tank on a xr650l?
Jonathan K on Apr 4, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I have the bracket on a klr650. It sandwiches between the lower triple and the front fender and goes forward. If the crowd mounts similarly there is no way it interferes with the fuel tank
COULD YOU MOUNT A LED BAR ON THIS?
TERRY D on Dec 31, 2018
BEST ANSWER: It’s defiantly strong enough. You will want to test fit the light set up in the bike then swing the The handlebars if full travel to check clearance. I ended up modifying the radiator plastics by trimming a 1/4 on both plastics to clear the light set up I wanted to use. The lights when mounted fall in about the same “Water line” as the front fender. So if you were to use a light bar, you might have to make your own standoffs I order to clear your front fender. Overall, it’s a great quality built piece with a good finish. Looks great with the later model KLRs with black Wheels and Black front forks. I would defiantly recommend it.
Afternoon. I am curious about the oblong mounting holes on the triple clamp. Is this a universal fit or for another reason?
Mike B on Nov 1, 2018
BEST ANSWER: This bracket is designed them out between the fender and the bottom of the triple clamp with the fender mount on those four bolts and it fits pretty snow so I’m not so sure I know it fits my killer perfectly and it’s a 2007 630 Hope that helps
Can you mount 4 inch cube lights with this bracket? Their website shows 3", but it looks like there would be room. I have a 2002 DRZ400
Travis C on May 30, 2018
BEST ANSWER: running 3 inch on my KLR, 4 inch would be a tight fit but looks do-able
JNS web page states that you can use rigid industries dually lights with this mount on 2008 KLR 650. Is there enough clearance?
A shopper on Aug 4, 2018
BEST ANSWER: The lights go under the bracket so mine were essentially upsidedown so i had to improve the seal where the wires came into the lights and i had to enlarge the holes a little.
I think it is a great mount. You may need to do a couple things depending on what lights you get
Any reason the JNS mount won't work with the Acerbis supermoto fender on a 2015 KLR650?
Kyle H on Jun 10, 2018
BEST ANSWER: This should work together with that fender.
