The Lectron Carburetor is a unique jet-less carburetor that’s gained a cult following for needing minimal adjustment, being flexible enough to match drastically changing riding environments, and the solution to an array of hard to fix jetting issues.

Starting with the company itself, Lectron has been around for years with experience that ranges from fine tuning EFI throttle bodies on street bikes to developing carbs on some of the highest performing off-road motorcycles. Using that experience, Lectron created their jet-less carburetor—a design that uses a metering rod and precisely calculated fluid dynamics to pull the perfect amount of fuel into your engine.

Using this metering rod technology, Lectron’s carburetor is able to self-adjust to changes and conditions that would otherwise negatively affect your air-to-fuel ratio and cause poor performance. With the Lectron, changes in condition like temperature, elevation, and humidity have almost no effect on the performance of your bike. The Lectron carburetor will still provide full power, smooth power delivery, and reliability that will seemingly never change once it’s dialed in.

Because of these characteristics, the Lectron has gained popularity among two-stroke machine owners, enduro riders, and as a solution for certain carbs that are particularly hard to jet correctly. Watch our video above for more information on the Lectron Carburetor and to see if it will work for your application.

    Specs:
  • Metering rod design eliminates traditional jets
  • Jetless design auto-adjusts to wide variety of conditions
  • Minimal impact from elevation, humidity, and temperature change
  • Direct fitment in place of stock carb
  • Tapered bore
  • May help improve fuel economy
  • Smoother power delivery than stock
  • Increased performance
  • Clear float bowl for easy monitoring
  • Made in the U.S.A.

Lectron carb review 2008 KTM 300xc
Absolutely amazing! I didn't want to re-jet my bike over and over like I have in the past so I took the Lectron plunge. After installing the carb it started right up on the first kick. After warming up the motor I lowered the idle screw a little. Now I can rest assured knowing that my bikes air fuel ratio is perfect no matter what temperature it is outside. I highly recommend this and would put one on my weed eater if they made one!

High Value Mod
If you are not an expert tuner this is a must have. If you are an expert tuner, this makes your job much easier and still yet with improved results. Have installed on a KTM 200, YZ250X, and now a Beta trials bike (some modification for this application). Simply put this is the most functional and practical engine mod you can do for your bike. The idea is simple yet brilliant on how the carb functions and self tunes for changes in environment. Additionally you will notice Increased bottom end power and more overrev. Note, the power is very linear so don't be fooled when the "hit" is not there. The "hit" is gone due to better air fuel ratio all through the RPM range.

Want your 2-stroke to run like it's fuel injected?
Save yourself $10,000++ and install this on your older 2-stroke! (If you're looking for an excuse to buy a new fuelly then better stop reading this!) OK, maybe I'm exaggerating a little, just a little. But seriously, this was a fantastic upgrade to my KTM 250XC-W. No more fiddling and fussing with the stock carb, this Lectron fired on the second kick and no adjustments needed. A very simple design that runs at sea-level or at 10,000 feet; no jet changes, etc. I wish I had installed one of these earlier.

The Lectron carburetor is a great product and performs as advertised, I would definitely recommend a Lectron.
I decided on this purchase after watching and reading reviews and product literature. Took a year to pull the trigger but glad I did. This was an easy instal and for my bike needed only a quarter turn out on the metering rod and an eighth out on the power jet. Bike has much better midrange power right off idle and the hit when she comes on the pipe is much stronger now. I might need to back off my PV adjustment. Better fuel economy and more power, what more could you ask for.
I gave a 4 star overall rating only because I've yet to test it at high altitude. Im sure it will out perform my stock carburetor but don't want to mislead anyone. I'll wait till I test and try to follow up.

Game changer
if you have a 2T and hate rejetting for altitude or temp changes then here is the fix. I rarely have to adjust this thing and even when I don't the bike still performs great. I often make larger altitude changes while riding in the mountains and I never feel like I'm losing power or throttle response with this installed.

Best Fuel System
This Lectron is the second carb I've purchased. The first is on my sons KTM 300. This one will go on my 2014 KTM 300 XCW. I have had over 100 hours of use with the first bought on my 2014 KTM that is now on my sons bike. I've ridden the extremes in altitude & temperature with this product. 3,500-9,500ft altitude & 20-100 degrees F. All was done with the initial carb metering rod adjustment. This carb has made my bike run AWESOME for over 100 hours. Better than any fuel injected bike I've ridden! Wrap your minds around that people!! Lectron is the real deal!!

Awesome Carb
After buying my first 2-stroke bike, I wanted a carburetor that would be easier to live with in riding between 3,000 and 10,000 feet and between 40 and 100 degrees. This seemed like the perfect solution.

After installing it, the bike started on the second kick and ran absolutely perfect. The only complaint I have is that it's a little longer than the stock unit, and therefore, was a little difficult to install.

It's a great product at a fair price.

Can I use my twist throttle with the cable that comes with the lectron carbs?
Brian F on Jun 16, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Depends on what bike you have. I wanted to keep my stock cable and throttle tube so I cut about 1/2” off my stock cable housing and used it on the lectron
Hey folks I have a 2016 yz 250x has anybody tried a Lectron carb on the same or similar bike? I've read cool stuff online I'm tempted to snag one. This is my first bike so i'm a total amateur, I hear they are really easy to adjust which is half the reason I wanna get one. Would people recommend this over getting a JD jet kit?

BEST ANSWER: I purchased a lectron when I first started riding several years ago and still have it on my husqvarna wr250. But honestly a have a regular carb on my 300xc and once its jetted I leave it from spring to fall once you tare into a carb a few times you'll catch on quick. The only reason I'd say a lectron would be nice is if you live were your ride from sea level to 10000ft in one day it would shine then. That's just my opinion tho.
Anyone else have an issue with this carb being a half of an inch wider then the factory carb. From inlet port to outlet port is a half an inch difference. Also the choke is on the opposite side next to the exhaust. Lastly, there is a sensor connection of some sort on the factory carb the lectron does not have?
Derek S on Dec 13, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Not sure which bike your installing this on. I have one on my Beta 300RR Race edition. I by chance your trying to put it on a Beta standard RR or xtrainer you would need to eliminate the oil injection system and mix gas. The std RR and xtrainer have a to a ( throttle position sensor) I believe Lectron is working on or possible has a model now to work with the tps.
If this is a different bike It could still be a tps but not certain.
It was mentioned that it may need to be adjusted for aftermarket exhaust systems. Do you have any experience with this carb on a 2012 or 2013 KTM 300 XC-W with A FMF gnarly pipe and turbine core to silencer?
Jake K on Jul 1, 2017
BEST ANSWER: From what I gather these are not tuned specifically for your exact model but rather a general tune for a specific range of bikes (250/300 2 stroke) each bike may need a very slight adjustment to fine tune but the majority of customers seem to "it and play" My Beta needed a quarter turn out (leaner) on the metering rod and I have it an eighth turn out (richer) on the power jet. My bike runs better then it ever has.
Due to the way the metering rod works I would try it before messing with it. Take a few runs at various throttle positions and see how it feels, take a look at the plug and then decide. Check out the pdf downloads from lectron.
Its this carb for a stock 300 xc 2008 ?looking for a 38 mm snowbike carb !

So I have a 17 300xcw, are there any advantages to the +3” cable?
Taylor M on Sep 4, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I wasn’t sure if I needed to order the standard or extended cable either. I googled lectron’s phone number and called them directly and asked which to order for my bike. Don’t remember which one I ended up ordering it’s been a few years.... but they will steer you the right direction.
Will this carb and throttle cable work with the Odi V2 Emig MX Lock On Grips? I heard somewhere it isn't compatible. I have a 2013 KTM 300 XC

BEST ANSWER: The cable end that connects to the twist throttle wont be any different than stock. It's a custom length cable from lectron is all. My 14' 250 xcw had no issues with the stock twist. As long as the Emigs didn't come with a custom cable then your fine.
What is the difference between the high velocity and the regular carb? Both say they will fit my 2014 300 XCW but is one better than the other?
Jacob P on Aug 17, 2019
BEST ANSWER: :The High Velocity Lectron Carburetor is the more aggressive option. Lectron recommends using the High Velocity for highly tuned motors, big bore kits, and anyone looking for additional performance gains throughout the entire powerband.

What size cable is needed for a 2008 ktm 300 xcw?
A shopper on May 1, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Its personal preference. If you need a +1" or +3" cable longer than stock you choose the cable to match your needs.
hi with the cable length option ? can you explain what that means ?
David F on Nov 20, 2017
BEST ANSWER: For KTM/Husqvarna the longer cable lets you route the cable in front of the triple tree and down the left side of the frame. The other cable has to be routed as from the factory.

This is showing compatible with the 2015 300RR. Isn't that model oil injected?
Gene C on Mar 12, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Oil injection on the 300RR was introduced on the 2016 model. But this carburetor doesn't affect fuel/oil ratio, it affects the air/fuel ratio. Plus, the oil is injected after the carburetor on the 2016 300RR.
Is this the same High Velocity (HV) Lectron advertised for my 2013 KTM 300 XC-W on the vendor's website? I am confused because your RMATV website says the HV is only available for the 2017's.
Jay M on Jan 28, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The carburetor for the 2013 model is not the High Velocity version.
