If your throttle is getting harder to twist or you’ve never cleaned your bike’s cables, the Motion Pro Cable Luber V3 is the tool you need to get the job done and ensure your cables stay free moving and in good shape. The V3 is the latest version of Motion Pro’s tool, and as such, it’s the easiest to use and the most convenient way to clean your cables.

The V3’s clever design seals tightly around the cable’s housing using the integrated rubber gaskets and, when used with the correct aerosol lubricant, allows the largest amount of fluid to enter the cable and flush out dirt, debris, and other gunk that can gum up the cable. This design results in less wasted lube, a much cleaner cable, and a throttle that is much crisper with less resistance.

    Specs:
  • Original Motion Pro design seals completely around cable housing
  • Makes it easy to clean and lubricate control cables
  • Less mess and less wasted lubricant
  • Unique design makes it the best sealing cable luber on the market
  • Works on most control cables with 4 mm to 8 mm OD housing
  • Seals over free spinning end fittings
  • Adjustable plunger insures efficient use of cable lube
  • East to use and clean
  • Best if used with Motion Pro Cable Lube (not included)
  • Patent pending

This is a great product. It is simple to use and works well. I would recommend this product to anyone who wants to lubricate a cable.

GREAT
Great product, easy to use. It really seals up and allows you to force all excess lube down the cable

Great concept but still not the answer
1st off I was really excited to try this new tool, hoping it would be the magic bullet for lubing cables. Motion pro typically puts out very good tools. Chase even made a Rocky Mountain video on how easy it was to use so I was sold!
Unfortunately, I was completely let down and ended up with the same frustrations and mess as the old school luber. I have a variety of bikes and a 4 wheeler so I was eager to lube all the cables up. What they don't inform you before you buy is that it will Not work on ALL the different cables. Out of the 9 cables I had to lube, it worked on 2 and it was a complete mess. My choke cable wouldn't fit inside of it and a few of my throttle and brake cables wouldn't fit either. The ones that did fit, the lube would blow out the back end of the rubber grommet or while under pressure from the can of lube would blow out the front hole once you pull the cans straw out of the hole.
Chase makes it look like an easy non mess process for 1. he's using a brand new cable that's unrestricted and has resistance 2. it laying flat on a table and 3. It's a short cable so theirs not much distant for the lube to travel. Its just not a realistic scenario.
At the end of the day, I gave up and went back to the old tried and true way. Cut a triangle piece of paper, build a cone, tape it to the cable, fill it up with lube and just work the cable back and forth vertically till you see it come out the bottom half.
I will definitely be returning this to RMC

Motion Pro Cable Luber V3
I have been using the old style lubers for over 25 years and were always messy. This new Motion Pro V3 works great and is very easy and clean to use. I'm glade I bought it. As for longevity time will tell I only used it once so far.

MP Cable Luber
Without a doubt far better device than the "old style" cable lube connection. Yes, you will still have lubricant on the assembly after disconnection. However, nothing compared to the "old style".

Decent cable luber
Nice cable luber, but you can't use it on the throttle cables. It does seal pretty well when used on other cables, but you still end up with a mess.

actually works
Worked as it was suppose to on my son's KTM 65 throttle cable.

Tried other other styles and got more fluid on my hands, bike and floor than i did through the cable.

This one work!

Works good but a little more of a hassle than the plain ole clamp on luber.

Can you use wd-40 instead of the cable lube?
Devin W on Apr 14, 2019
BEST ANSWER: WD40 will wash out any lubricant already in there and not provide any real lubrication to your cable. Washing out the crud inside the cable might make things feel smoother - but that is not because of lubrication more the lack of crud inside.
I use WD40 to wash out the cable then blew some compressed air inside to force it out.
I then use INOX Lanolin spray for my cables - it's what I have on hand and works - but a dedicated cable lube is best.
Is this HDPE? Or aluminum?
A shopper on Apr 18, 2020
BEST ANSWER: The body is constructed of rugged and tough plastic, probably HDPE but I'm no injection molding expert. There are aluminum pieces as well which engage with the cable. The tool is very useful and durable, assuming you take care of your tools of course. I'd recommend this cable luber for sure.
