Zipper died sooner than expected. Normally Tusk stuff is a low price high quality option, unfortunately not the case with this one. I've had it for a couple of years but only ~20 hours of use. Size was perfect, I might try another one to see if I got a dud, or another brand.Read All Reviews

It seems with Tusk you get a little more than you pay for, and that's the case with these panniers too. Not perfect, but a good value play...like the KLR itself. The rack install went fairly well. I had to monkey with the left blinker splice until I was happy with it and ended up using slightly heavier wire than that provided. Other than that, the rack bolted up fine, leaving all bolts loose initially, then tightening in the specified sequence. One clearance issue...the rear cross brace was actually touching the license plate bulb assembly. Thought I might have to shim the bulb assembly, but after unscrewing it from the fender was able to slightly bend the mount tabs to gain the needed clearance (see pics). On the boxes themselves, I did have to elongate the hole on the right side mount bracket a bit in order for it to fully accept the spring-loaded locking pin. This was even after using the spacing washers on all 7 bolts, as referenced in the R-M KLR install video. A minor stressor...not a huge deal. It still mounted good and solid. Other than that, blue locktite on all screws/bolts, and I did swap out the screws/nuts on the 8 footman loops, per Tim 2-Wheels' recommendation. The provided hardware just doesn't seem to catch enough threads to inspire confidence. 6-32 x 1/2" stainless screws and nylon lock nuts instead. Again, not perfect, but a good, sturdy set of panniers for a great price. Look forward to utilizing them soon and hopefully for years to come. Recommend!Read All Reviews
