dry bags
bags fit my Suzuki DR650 well and worked great. Every thing stayed dry and secure, the bag liners made packing and unpacking easy. I felt safer with soft bags on the bike after having been injured by hard cases off road.

Love Rigg Gear
I got these bags in yellow to help with visibility. The bags are well made, heavy duty material that is absolutely water proof. You'd probably have to submerge the bags to get water in them once the top is rolled down and buckled. The inner liner makes it easy to grab and go whatever is in the bag and the removable stiffeners make the bags easy to load. The straps are long enough for adjustability and are on the verge of being to long. Well built buckles which grip the straps tight. I bought soft bags because I worried about getting my leg caught under a hard case. I liked these side bags enough that I bought the Rigg Gear Sahara Dry bag directly from Rigg Gear. I would have bought it from Rocky Mtn but they didn't offer it. Rocky Mtn is a great company with great gear and service.

Well made bags for the money
These bags are by far the most economical solution for traveling. They look like pricier bags and are well built. The internal bags are not the best quality but at this price point they function well enough. Taking the bags on and off does take a little bit of time. There are plates you can purchase to utilize the quick release on the tusk racks. I actually fabricated some plates out of black hdpe sheet material that allow me to remove and replace them within seconds. This negates any issues I had with strapping them on the rack after each removal. The roll top design is water tight, and does allow for some flexibility in caring capacity.

Nelson Rigg Sierra dry saddle bags 3050
For the price these are very nice. I have the Mosko Moto scout 25 liter pannier system. I’m planning on selling the Mosko stuff now that I have the Nelson Rigg stuff. The 3050 is much easier to use and better for daily use too.

Pretty darned good for the money!
I want to not like them - to have an excuse to get a fancy pair from other manufacturers at like 2-3x the cost.. but these are just so damned practical!
Waterproofness works; and the inner liners make packing a cinch!

Great bags for a reasonable price
I had a previous set of Nelson Rigg saddlebags, different type, that I liked, so I knew I would probably like these as well. I was right. They are easy to attach to my Africa Twin. They stay on solid and carry plenty. I've had them in the rain with no problem. It's easy to attach other bags to the top of them to carry extra stuff. I like the look of them on my bike. The bike took a nap during a water crossing at one point. No water got in, and they have survived that laydown, as well as one on slick rock in Moab. No damage. These are great bags.

You get what you pay for and Most of it is Good.
They are price well, fit well, wear o.k. and look good. Definitely kept the dust and water out to a point. Have had 2 sets of these bags in 2yrs. The SE 2050 then the SE 3050 First set, the heat seam weld came apart in 4 different areas and both D-Buckes broke.. RMATV / Nelson Rigg met there obligation and replaced under warranty. Second set with the plastic insert to keep their shape started to show early signs of wear with some white material protruding from the heat welded seams in several areas which eventually gave way and split. Then the plastic inserts started to wear the bag from the inside to outer causing a hole/split. Actually, my boot hitting the corner of the bag when dismounting was also the final cause of the bag giving way. This happened over a 2 week period travelling across the Australian Outback on corrugated roads covering about 5000km in that time. Once again RMATV/Nelson Rigg have met their obligations and replaced them. Thank you RMATV & Nelson Rigg for taking your customers feedback seriously and providing good customer service to resolve the issue.

Good set of soft bags for the money
I bought these to replacemy tusk panniers, they seem durable and they hold more than the medium tusk panniers but are much lighte. Also the ability to expand them even further by adding 2 15L dirtbags to them makes even better. Hopefully they'll last a while.

Do these bags require a side rack to mount?
A shopper on Feb 19, 2017
BEST ANSWER: These bags are designed to be used with a rack system.
Does it comes with the life time warranty?
Mavis T on Mar 12, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Yes, it does.
Do these bags work well with tusk pannier racks?
A shopper on Apr 26, 2019
BEST ANSWER: They do work well with the Tusk racks for a DR650 so I would imagine they work well with other Tusk racks.

I bought the NR 3050 saddle bag and Tusk rack combo a couple weeks ago and I'm very happy with it. The racks mounted easy and the bags are nice. They were supported well by the racks and I tested them on a ride where we rode for 6 hours in rain. I recommend both!
I dont see mounting straps in the photo provided, how are these intended to be mounted?
The bike has Tusk pannier racks.
Thanks
A shopper on Aug 23, 2017
BEST ANSWER: It's difficult to tell, but you actually can see the mounting straps. It's the two horizontal straps running underneath the one vertical strap. You have two horizontal mounting straps on each side. I'm also mounting this to Tusk pannier rack, takes some trial and error, but they stay secure on the freeway, off-road, and through a few get-offs.
Can these bags (Nelson Rigg Deluxe Adventure Dry Saddle Bags) be mounted directly to side racks? Do you have to use the straps that go over the top of the seat connecting the bags, or can you securely mount these bags on side racks without having to use the straps that go over the seat/fender?
Peter R on May 25, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I installed my Rigg bags on a set of Australian made pannier racks from Barrett Products. The Barrett racks are a little smaller overall from most but that was what I wanted because I am going to use only soft panniers. The bags fit fine just had to figure where the best place to attach the straps. The two main straps I mounted over the rear seat area.
Can I use these with a top box?
A shopper on Dec 16, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Absolutely. The only straps across the top (optional - but really, you want to use them) can be routed under your seat or over your seat (the front one); and the rear one can be 'fished' under your rear rack - or between it and a top case. I run these with a 40l soft duffle on my rear rack.
How well would these stand up to being strapped to a plate on the quick release system of the Tusk pannier rack? Like if I bolted the Tusk adapter to a composite or metal plate with slots routed out to strap the bags to; that way I could take them on and off the bike repeatedly without messing around with the straps.
Brendan R on Mar 3, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I think that would work great. I intend to do the same thing. I didn't have time when I first fot mine and just strappedem on. They're really tough for what they are. I had originally thought to do something similar to protect the them from the exhaust etc. However there is already a heat resistant stiffener that appears to be effective. I've probably got 3,000 miles on mine and I'm very pleased with them.
2018 Suzuki V-Strom 650XT. Having a crazy time finding a bag side support for this bike. Any suggestions?
Russ S on Apr 5, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I installed the tusk side racks on a 2018 KLR and am really happy with them, used the same Nelson bags. Really like the rear support that connects the two side racks for added support.
When these bags are used with the tusk racks are they symmetrical on a 14 bmw r1200gs?
A shopper on Mar 31, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I have no idea, I used the bags on my Africa Twin and a actually made my own rack from Dom tubing. I have not used them yet. S ow is not all melted yet
Do these have the handle and shoulder strap like the NR Adventure Dry Saddlebags?
Jessica H on Apr 7, 2017
BEST ANSWER: These do not have a shoulder strap.
