Durable and Effective
I replaced the stock front sprocket 13 tooth with a 14 tooth and the rear stock 43 tooth with a 49 tooth to maintain the same gearing, but it provided some additional clearance for the swing arm. I’ve had both sprockets installed for 1500~ miles without any issues. 10/10 would buy again when needed.

13T front sprocket - 1 side has tooth number and PD logo. Other side is cupped. Which side goes IN when installed?
Robert MacQuarrie on Aug 28, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The cupped side generally goes in towards the machine and the logo faces out away from the machine.
Does this include the clip that holds the front sprocket on?
Jeff B on Aug 13, 2017
BEST ANSWER: No sir what you see is what you get , hope this helped you
Has anyone purchased this sprocket for a 2014 RMZ 450? If so how does it fit/function compared to the Renthal? I'm worried about this being a cheap part.
Randy R on May 12, 2017
BEST ANSWER: We have used these sprockets on everything from 125's to KTM 450's no worries...great sprocket and wear as good or better than the others.
what is the meaning of the size?
Côté E on May 23, 2019
BEST ANSWER: A front sprocket should have 2 sizes. The chain size 520, 530 etc. And the number of teeth 14t 15t etc. A smaller front sprocket will provide more accelleration, but a lower speed and a larger tooth more top speed slower accelleration. Rear sprockets are the exact opposite.
05 400ex, installing and the sprocket alignment is way off, im not sure what i am missing. Anyone else have this issue?
robert d on May 8, 2018
BEST ANSWER: You must be missing something. On all my bikes, they go right on and they automatically line up.I’m wondering if yours needs a spacer. Your shop manual should show what you need.
I need a sprocket for a 2000 Honda xr650r. I only see a option for 14t and 15t. Is there possibly a 13t available? Thanks
Taylor A on Jul 19, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I have searched for a 13 tooth Primary Drive Sprocket for your machine application and unfortunately there is not one available in Primary Drive. I also searched other brands we carry and I am only showing 14t and 15t.
does it come with the hardware needed to install?
zach f on Jan 21, 2017
BEST ANSWER: It's only the sprocket. The hardware to install should already be on your bike. If your missing parts, you will need to look at an oem schematic and buy the missing hardware.
If you buy just a front sprocket do you need a new chain?
Ethan L on Dec 9, 2018
BEST ANSWER: If you are replacing the sprocket because it is worn then your chain may be worn as well. You can check your chain for wear by grabbing it at the 3 o'clock position on the rear sprocket and pulling straight back, if the chain pulls away from the sprocket enough that you can see daylight between the chain and sprocket then you probably need a new chain. Stiff or binding links are also a sign that your chain is near the end of its life. On the other hand the new sprocket is less than $10. If you are changing thevsize of the sprocket then put on and ride.
I just got a set for 2016 Yz 250f, front sprocket is thicker than oem. And the locking washer that folds up against the nut will not fit on the splines.

Will this sprocket stay on with just the nut?
Nicholas E on Mar 26, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Check to ensure you have the countersunk side facing in towards the shaft. This part only fits one way. Will not stay on without the retention washer properly installed and tab bent.
2019 KTM 450 sxf stock is 13 T. Want to try a 14 T, looks tight? Will it clear the chain guard?
Dwayne S on Mar 3, 2019
BEST ANSWER: It will not rub the chain guard if installed properly.
Does this come with a new locking washer?
Richard B on Feb 24, 2019
BEST ANSWER: No it didn’t. I would recommend a prevailing torque nut manufactured by Eagle Mike. It eliminates the need for the washer.
I have a stock 2001 Raptor 660. Looking for more bottom end torque for Oregon dunes, what f/r sprocket size would be optimal? Thanks for the help!
Christopher L on Apr 8, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Going 1 fewer tooth in the front is close to going 3 more on the axle as Brenda has stated. You need to count your teeth and see where you are at to begin with because you may not be stock gearing. For what you want you need to go 1 tooth less on the front or more teeth on the rear. I agree 2 teeth more on the rear would probably be good. Keep in mind you will have a larger rear sprocket so if your rear said plate is already next to your rear sprocket you might have to shim it, bend it or buy a new one. If you go with a small front sprocket it is true you will have faster wear on the sprocket and chain.
Will this last a long time?
A shopper on Mar 26, 2019
BEST ANSWER: They last as long as any other big name sprocket. Chain maintenance is your friend as always.
How do I change the front sprocket?
A shopper on Jun 27, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I just put this sprocket on my 2012 KX250F yesterday and on my bike a little circlip was holding it on tusk sells these awesome pliers that makes it really easy to take on and off once you take that circlip off it slides off really easy if its a circlip style like mine not a nut i recommend just buying a new circlip since there only a dollar or two and mine was pretty worn and there easy to lose your gonna want the tooth count and primary drive logo facing you not the engine and mine slid on a little tight but it fit then you just put that circlip back on and your ready to rock
so how heavy is it, is it light, I have been told these rob power is that true, I want it for my Yamaha warrior 350, I know the warriors are heavy so I don't want to add any more weight then wanted, is it more heavy then the stock sprocket?
korbin m on Jun 3, 2018
BEST ANSWER: ll C/S sprockets are steel and a sprocket that has the same # of teeth should weigh within 5% of each other. Unless the one you are replacing has holes drilled in it to lighten it I doubt there would be more that 1 ounce difference. Mine was on a KTM so I cant be sureabout the Yamaha, but I would say they were equal weight in my case.
I bought this sprocket for a 2016 yz250fx and its does not fit. the counterbore on the back side is not big enough and rub the engine case, Anyone else have this problem?
rob h on Dec 3, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I bought frontsprockets for my KTM and had no problem with them. Make sure your ordering information is correct.
2014 wr450f 12 tooth front sprocket. Any chain or clearance issues?
adam s on Oct 29, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I used the sprocket on my 2006 KLX300, the fit of the chain and sprocket was fine. The oem front sprocket for my bike is a 15 tooth, I had originally switched to a 13 tooth, which worked very well in the woods, the 12 is not bad but really too low geared for me, so I am going back to a 13 tooth.
Why does my front sprocket always cup? WR250R Yamaha's come with a 13 tooth, I am running a 14 tooth to prevent the chain from rubbing on the swing arm.
A shopper on Oct 26, 2019
BEST ANSWER: running old chain on a new sprocket will cause excessive wear. running chain too tight will also cause rhe same problem. always replace chain and both sprockets at the same time. hope you find your problem.....
Just want to verify that this will work/fit on the XR650L without issue. The upgraded front sprocket they recommend for the L has been out of stock for awhile, but everything I've read says you can run an R sprocket on the L to combat the counter shaft issues. Can anyone verify?
Steen S on Jul 16, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Bought mine for a 2003 cr250 two stroke not sure if they are the same but product is great had it for two seasons and no sign of wear
I have a 2005 400ex and I purchased the "primary drive steel front sprocket"(just like the pictured). I don't see anything showing which side goes in toward engine. So the side that has the logo and teeth# stamped also has the raised lip(just like the picture shows) does that side face the engine or does that side face away from the engine?
Thanks
A shopper on Apr 15, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Teeth # goes away from the motor. So you can read the tooth # when it is on the bike
Whats the torque for 2019 KTM 300 TPI front Sprocket bolt?

This looks different than the original KLR 650 sprocket. Will this fit an 05 KLR 650?
A shopper on May 16, 2019
BEST ANSWER: This is an aftermarket sprocket so it will look a little different than the OEM one. However, this will fit your machine. You will need to enter in the make, model, and year of your machine in the drop down boxes above the product image. Then select the tooth size. If you want the OEM sprocket you can locate that through the OEM parts tab.
