Must have for the stock DRZ!
Looks and fit are amazing! So glad to bite the bullet on this seat. The stock one killed my butt bone at about 30 mins in. I opted for the standard height, and now my feet are planted flat on the ground. Seems like it may sit a little lower than stock. This seat looks so and performs so much better. The gripper top is really sticky/grippy which I like.

    Much Better than Stock!
This is a huge improvement in comfort over the stock seat on my DRZ400s 2019. First thing I ordered and have put about 150 miles (in one day) on this saddle with minimal ass tingle!

Already had a tall seat from them and wanted the short seat. I have both knees replaced and after I gained some flexibility I wanted to sit down lower on the bike for control.

    Great looking, comfortable seat.
A great seat for dual-sporting. When you are not standing on the trails, just slide back to the wide spot, and your butt will like it! Because of the price, it took me a couple of years to buy one; but after about 20 minutes of sitting...no more sore butt. If I were taller, I would have ordered the tall seat for even more padding. The stock height is still pretty comfortable. The price kept it from getting 5 stars.

By far the best money I've spent on my motorcycle thus far! I'm 6'1" and the tall version of the seat is perfect. Have a much better grip with my knees know when riding standing up. Super comfortable when sitting Wish I would have bought sooner. Went easy with no fitment issues.

At first I felt it was overpriced
You know I was skeptical, and felt it was way overpriced, but the fear of a sore rear from 650 dirt bike miles in 3 days scared my rear end into buying it. I have to say when first sitting on it I get like I had been ripped off but after 600 miles in the saddle I had zero rear end fatigue. Now I’m a believer and wouldn’t have a bike without one.

I just finished a 6k trip of the Labrador highway.
I purchased the seat just for this ride ! It's a little expensive but the comfort was great. Durability was not been a issue with dragging my boots across the seat due to the height of the bike.

Why don't you have "Carbon Fiber Sides / Gripper Top" type of seat available?
    Peteris N on Aug 30, 2016
BEST ANSWER: We do. It's listed as the "Carbon Fiber Gripper" seat. It has the carbon fiber sides and gripper top.
Is the seat concepts "tall" seat ,taller front to rear or just the center, main sitting area ?
    RICHARD on Jun 25, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Hi Richard, the tall model is taller all over, but tapers towards each end. the increase in height that we advertise is measured at the point where the increase is the greatest over the stock seat. if a seat is listed as 1" taller than stock, it will be that much taller in the middle of the valley where the rider sits, but may be less than the full inch towards the very rear of the seat.
You're not carrying the tall seat?
    david c on Mar 10, 2017
BEST ANSWER: What machine are you looking to purchase this seat for? Once I have that information I will be able to double check for you.
is the low seat less padding and width than the standard, meaning not as comfortable?
    A shopper on Sep 12, 2017
BEST ANSWER: So there is less foam for them to achieve the "low" seat but I dont think that has any affect on comfort as Rocky Mountain only gets their seats from Seat Concepts in one density and its pretty hard although it breaks in over time. The overall comfort comes from the extra width that takes away some pressure points. In my opinion its much better than stock but if I were to spend the money again I would order direct from Seat Concepts and get a softer less dense foam put on the pan. Rocky Mountain will not let you order custom through them , only direct through S C. So to answer your question I dont think you would be any more comfortable if you ordered the standard size over the low.
How much does the "low" seat for an 06 drz400 s lower the seat height? I'm on tip toes and could use a lower seated position. Thank you.
    Mark M on Oct 12, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Hi Mark, thanks for your question. Our low seat for the DRZ is 1" lower than the stock seat. Regarding comfort, there is always a bit of a trade off with a low seat. Foam thickness is a lot like suspension travel, more is always better, and when there isn't much, you can't do as much with it. Any low seat, by nature, will be a little firmer than thicker models. Our proprietary foam material is a much higher quality than the stock foam, but the typical low seat customer is more worried about the height advantage than anything else. For maximum comfort, we recommend the standard height seat.

Will this fit my 2017 ktm exc 500?
    A shopper on Feb 20, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes, we offer several options for the 2017 KTM 500EXC, however the seat pictured here is for a KTM 690, which is quite different from the shape of the SX/XC/EXC models.
does seat work with riding two up?
    Glenn D on Jul 14, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Hello Glenn, I will say that it DEFINITELY helps out with comfort , but at same time, it's still not very comfy on longer trips 2 up. But I am 6'3 and my wife is 5'7, so if you guys are shorter and dont weigh as much, I'm sure you would be ok. But overall, I would buy the seat again. It gives the bike a better look and also makes it a little more comfortable.
What is the advantage to buying the full seat vs the seat cover? Is it worth the extra money for the full seat?
    Greg Y on May 24, 2019
BEST ANSWER: You get a complete new seat, including pan, foam, and cover already assembled. You don't have to screw around with finding an upholstery staple gun, stainless staples, or messing with disassembling your old seat. If you existing seat is in good shape you put it on the shelf and have it for backup , or like I do, when you go to sell the bike you put the stock seat back on and then sell the seat concepts seat on the side. Better return that way.
How wide is the widest part of the seat?
    HOWARD H on Jun 10, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I have the Seat Concepts Low for a 2017 KLR (not certain what bike you have...).
I measured the seat in several spots.
12" is the widest part and this is from the rear of the riders butt area to all of the passenger seat, it tapers to 11.5" at the very back.
It is about 7.5" in the riders crotch area.
    Hope this helps
Is there an option for the "comfort" seat, which is the wider version?
    Vincent R on Mar 24, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Hi Vincent, unless otherwise noted, all of our seats will be the wider "comfort" version. if a seat is not wider than stock, it will be clearly noted as an OEM width model. we have several models that are specifically marked as "Sport" or "rally" seats. these are still technically "comfort" seats, in that they are designed to be an improvement in comfort over stock, but they differ in shape from our standard comfort seat. Our proprietary foam material is a much higher quality than stock foam, so even our OEM width seats will be more comfortable than your stock seat.
What do the sizes represent for the SEAT CONCEPTS COMPLETE SEAT? Low, standard and tall
    Curt R on Jan 23, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Low is lower than stock. Standard is Oem height . High is higher than stock.
Why can't I order a DIY kit for these?
    David S on Jun 27, 2019
BEST ANSWER: When I ordered mine last summer, I had the option to choose just the foam and cover or the whole seat. It was roughly $90-$100 more for the complete seat ready to go so I went that route but unless things changed then you should be able to.
What is the lead time for a seat?
    Tim B on Jun 26, 2019

What is the difference between "comfort, low and standard"?
    loren l on Apr 11, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I have not tried the standard seat concepts seat, but I am very happy with the comfort of the lower seat. My only complaint is a very minor one. I wish they didn’t have the step up design with the passenger area being taller. I like to change positions while riding and I wish it was flat all the way back. The step up is not so high that it’s a problem sliding back on it, but a flat design would have been better.

Is the standard Comfort seat for the 2018 KTM 690 Enduro lower seat height than stock or same or higher also what is the difference between the XL saddle and the standard?
    A shopper on Jun 18, 2019
BEST ANSWER: It is the same height. The difference between the XL and standard is width. Mine is standard and is about 10” wife st the rest. The seat is designed so as you move forward it is tapered so you can put your feet down easily. These seats are much more comfortable that stock but still not as soft as I expected. Still...I’m glad I put them t in my 690.
How much lower is the low seat on a 2017 ktm 150xcw than stock?
    Michael V on Feb 8, 2018
BEST ANSWER: on the 2017 KTM's, our low comfort seat is 17MM (5/8") lower than stock. this is as low as it is possible to go on this model due to the minimal foam thickness. Regarding comfort, there is always a bit of a trade off with a low seat. Foam thickness is a lot like suspension travel, more foam is always better, and when there isn't much foam, you can't do as much with it. Any low seat, by nature, will be a little firmer than thicker models.
