    Details

A relatively new offering in the moto world from some clever minds in Australia, Steg Pegz are a bolt-on accessory that helps you grip your bike while standing up—thereby reducing arm pump and fatigue, increasing control in difficult terrain, and promotes traction while standing.

The Steg Pegz themselves are deceptively simple. With a lightweight yet strong bracket, a small rubber puck is positioned right behind the calf of your boot. When you stand up on the pegs, the inner/rear section of your boot will rest against the rubber puck—gripping your boot with the puck’s rubber texture and partially supporting the reward weight of your body.

That extra bit of support makes big differences. You’ll have an easier time squeezing the bike with your legs , your hands won’t have to hold onto the bars to tightly, your back/shoulders won’t have to work so hard during acceleration, and you’ll have more control over the bike in general whenever you’re standing up.

      Specs:
    • Greatly reduced arm pump and fatigue
    • Grip and control with your legs effortlessly
    • Shave seconds off your lap times
    • Make the gnarliest tracks seem easy
    • Creates a seat bounce effect when jumping while standing up
    • Hammer terrain faster than ever thought before
    • Increase rear wheel traction while standing under acceleration
    • Loft the front wheel easily over obstacles
    • Designed and created by 2009 Australian State QLD Motocross Champion Stephen 'Stegz' Smith
    • Lightweight assembly
    • Adjustable rubber puck positioning
    • Easy to install.
    • Replacement pucks available

Don’t think on these, buy them
I have chronic arm pump and these are life savers. They reduce arm pump but not completely. What they do get rid of is the whiskey throttle you get when your arms are extremely pumped. They catch you when you start to fall back, they saved me many many times.

Heard they were good so I am trying them. The only negative is that I have to ride in tucked in pants. They work well when I were the right pants.

Steg pegs are a win for me
I recently read about Steg pegs and how they helped with wrist pump so this is why I bought them as I get it very severe.I must say they definitely help I can ride longer before I get it,but I also noticed they really help me stay weighted better on my pegs and seem to help me with balance in the slow tight stuff aswell as huge help on hill climbs,I am a new rider so someone more advanced may not see the point but I sure like them!

    Great idea
A friend had these on his bike and I could really feel the benefit from having them. I got a set for my bike KTM 350sxf and love them. Gives you more control of the bike especially under hard acceleration Makes you use your legs more and gives your arms a break. Would have given 5 stars if they were a little more affordable. Now that I have ridden with them I wouldn’t want to ride without them.

Helped with arm pump and feeling more connected to the bike
I put these on a 2018 Yz450fx but rocky mountain does not list these for my bike so I just ordered the ones for a 2017 Yz450f since they are essentially the same bike and they fit perfectly.

I have had a little bit of time on them now and the biggest difference I felt was I felt more attached to the bike. Especially in the fast desert stuff I felt a lot more stable. As far as arm pump these did help a little bit but that wasn't my main reason for purchasing these. Also In other reviews I noticed some people complain about the pegz grabbing your boot in the slow technical stuff, for me since im running the smaller pegz it wasn't much of an issue.

Overall I recommend these they are a bit over priced but I think worth it especially if your a desert rider.

    Great product but pricey
I am 54 years old, pretty much out of shape. Install this on my 2018 Yamaha WR250F. This product is a big help for me so I can stand a lot more when I ride (trail riding). They are pricey, but I cannot make it myself, so overall a very good buy.

    OLD GUY
I own a metal fab shop so I know what the cost is to make these so the $150 price tag is way out of line. Fit was ok I had to turn up longer spacers to make me happy with them. That being said I rode up the street with flip flops and shorts on and they worked so well I was amazed. After a day of aggressive rock climbs and gnarly terrain with some high speed runs I have to give the inventor credit. So he should be paid for his creation. All said and done I will be buying another set for my second bike. I cant engineer and make them in 2 hours.

    Not a gimick
I had my concerns that these were one of those gimicks that were a waste of money. After 5 minutes on the trail I realized these were legit and no gimick. I have never felt anchored on the bike before like I do now. I do believe they are overpriced but like everything else if youre going to play you going have to pay. Stay safe

    Low arm pump
I'm in my fifties and was riding 20 min and getting massive arm pump, got the steg pegs and now run an hour with arm pump basically unnoticed. You still have to realize your iron grip on the bars isn't necessary, these help with that realization!!

In his review, Kyle from dirtbike channel tried these and found that they interfere with access to the air filter on his KTM 300. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Can't you just slip the side cover forward and off without removing the left hand Stegpez?
    A shopper on Apr 13, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Kyle is right, the left stegpeg does trap the air filter cover. There is a bend formed in them to make the pegz stay close to the bike. This feature causes the end of the tab to push against the air filter cover quite firmly. I don't typically service my air filter on a ride, so for me it's a non issue. I just clean it at home or at camp before heading out for the day.

I do however, greatly appreciate what the stegpegz do for enhancing bike grip and reducing arm pump on hills.
Has anyone used over the boot pants and had good results?
    William C on Nov 4, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I haven't but I I can imagine it working all that well with the factory set up the way they come. However, after switching to a new pair of boots, I had some slipping issues and padded them out with a longer carriage bolt and some washers to a desired length. Was a very easy and cost effective solution that has worked perfectly ever since.
I ride on the balls of my feet on the pegs do I need the further back version ?
    A shopper on Aug 7, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I have a size 10 boot and ride a little behind the ball of foot. I have the standard set mounted on the KTM 350 and set the rubber roller all the way to the front. I had to tested a few different position to get rubber roller to the right spot. The recommendation was place it to middle but I found I was leaning to far back. And adjusted a little at a time to get comfortable.
