    not good
This shifter stripped on the shifter shaft splines right away. Ergonomics were great but the quality of materials is obviously low.

Not as good as I thought it would be
Bought one of these for a 17 tc 125 overall appearance looked good, but for whatever reason the spline for it didn’t hold up for 2.5 hours of ride time even with the bolt being torqued to spec. Also one fall made it rub frame to frame and I had to revert back to the oem brake pedal.

My go to shifter. Cheap and great quality. Nice having that blue to match podium blue Yamaha.

I added the extension and kept getting my boot stuck, since then I’ve took off the extension and no problems with getting my boot stuck.

    Junk Metal
The splines stripped on the shifter after a few hours, so torc1 sent a replacement, that one stripped quickly as well, leaving my shift shaft damaged on my new husky.

The shape and reach is nice but its junk metal.

Husky - Excellent for me but requires longer bolt
I am comparing three shifters: OEM, TORC1, and Hammerhead. All three are excellent shifters but success using them will depend on your boot, riding style, foot pegs, etc.
My boot is a 44 (~ size 10) and has no welt on the outside. I would describe myself as having a clumsy left foot.
The OEM was just too short for me (left in the pictures), so I tried the Hammerhead (right side in the pictures) with a length 20 mm longer than OEM. The wear is from about 100 hours of riding and it needs a new tip. I missed a lot of shifts with the Hammerhead and just assumed it was me.
There are 28 splines on the Husky/KTM shift shaft so moving the static position of the Hammerhead one spline up or down changed the position by 3 cm. The position I used was a bit too high but moving it down 3 cm was too low.
The TORC1 is longer than the OEM (middle in the pictures), but not as long as the overlenth Hammerhead. The TORC1 comes with a tip extender that makes the shifter tip wider, not longer. Luckily for me, the TORC1 mounted with the tip slightly lower (about 1.5 cm) than the Hammerhead - just exactly where I needed it. During the one test ride, I missed way fewer shifts.
But upon inspection afterwards, the mounting bolt had come loose despite careful tightening and threadlocker. It seems the TORC1 may be thicker at the mounting point because only 5 threads of the mounting bolt were actually engaged down the shift shaft. Note that Japanese bikes have the mounting bolt across the splines while the Austrian bikes have the bolt going down the centerline of the shift shaft. Anyway, I had to fashion a longer bolt - I say fashion because a longer standard length was too long so I had to shorten it just a few threads to keep it from bottoming before the splines were fully locked between shifter and shaft, thus the ding on fitment.
Which one is the best shifter will depend on you.

    Works better than stock.
Purchased this particular shift lever after learning that the competitors do not make a lever with a changeable tip for an offset to the length for bigger feet/boots. Stock was just making it too difficult to get a good shift rhythm.
This one came with an add on piece to increase the length of the tip on the lever (as opposed to the offset tip to lengthen shifter). I settled. And I can say it has helped tremendously.
I am using the side of my boot toe instead of underneath the shifter most of the time, but the extension has helped make that a successful method. Had to gorilla glue the extension on though.

The pic shows no clamp bolt on the spline end. What holds it to shaft? Detail indicates 8 mm bolt included.

BEST ANSWER: All Torc1 shifters do come with the 8mm hex bolt. The only acceptation to this is the KTM/ Husqvarna shifter. It use a press fit design and requires the OEM bolt. Thanks
