Great unit! I thought it was going to mount up directly but didn't. The holes are super close but not close enough 2014 husky FE 501. Anyway I got it mounted just fine. Only took 45 mins for install. I wish I could have preset all the mileage and hours from the last speedo to this but you can't it starts at 0. Also I wish it had a super fast disconnect for washing purposes but it doesnt. Overall great unit. I would buy this again!

This thing is awesome. Has great features and easy to install. Great part is the ability to track mileage and hours for when to start to head back to the trucks and for maintenance.

Great Trail Computer
This trail was to replace a failed trail computer on a KTM XCW. I was able to use the factory mount with longer bolts. It is very simple to use and has all the functions that I needed.

Good unit
Computer itself qorks good and is fairly simple to install. The mounting bracket is kinda cheesy and almost certain to fail.

nice little odometer/speedometer
I have the Voyager on my 450X and love it because of the GPS. The Endurance is prefect for my 250RX because its small and out of the way. It isn't as hard to install as it seems. I did bother to put the suggest 1 amp fuse but on my 450 I wired it to the start button. The Endurance worked great during a Restart Enduro I rode in, the mileage was accurate.

I did not see if this will display fuel level on my atv? Bought this for a 2016 kodiak 700. Hoping it does because its on the way already.
A shopper on Oct 16, 2016
BEST ANSWER: It will not display fuel level as there is no sensor for it.
Is it waterproof ?
A shopper on Sep 26, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I bought the computer for my dad's bike and can't speak with 100% accuracy, but to my knowledge it is, yes. I don't believe it's any different than the OEM computers that come on some of the KTM models and having had one in the past, they are waterproof within reason. If the bike is submerged in water, I can't speak on the outcome of the computer.
Aren't they prone to breakage being such tight tolerance between rotors and rotor guard, it seems like mud anc stivks will prbly knock off the magnet head?
A shopper on Sep 27, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Models that use just the magnet in the rotor bolt have a special location on the rotor that the magnet sits in and then clips in from the other side to prevent it from being knocked out. Other applications replace a rotor bolt with a magnetic bolt. Either option is very sturdy.
Does this run on bike or battery power ?
Patrick P on Aug 19, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I actually bought the computer for my dad, but I will try to answer your question from what I've seen when riding with him. Without analyzing it too much, I would say both because it doesn't loose any memory when the bike is off (battery), but doesn't turn on until the bike is running. I don't believe there is a cord that you wrap around the coil wire like an hour meter. He has the EXC KTM model and his bike already had electrical plugs that my SXF does not.
Will it work without a stator or battey? My yz250 is kick start
Daniel B on Apr 24, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes it will, i had mine on a 250sx. The main computer function will run on a watch battery which last a long time. The only thing not functional without an electrical system is the blue backlight for the screen to illuminate in the dark.
How would you hook this up to a 2003 YZ 125?
Brantley F on Oct 11, 2016
BEST ANSWER: That should not be a problem. I used it on a 2006 kx 250. There is a magnet you use to replace a bolt in the front brake rotor. Then a pick up mounts to the fork leg. The computer mounts to the handlebars. I put mine low so when I wreck it won't hit the ground. I have been using it for about a year. It is hard to read when going. But keeps miles, speed, top speed, average speed. I like to know this stuff when I ride.
does the trail tech ll come with the necessary mounting kit including speed sensor & wire/magnet?
Jasynn D on Apr 23, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Hi - yes. I've purchased several systems and they come with a kit that has ancillary mounting hardware as well as a range of magnets for the pickup system. The mounting system that comes with the kit is a plastic bracket that mounts to the handle bars. I use this on my TE250. The best way to mount the system is to use the machined aluminum mounts ... I purchased one these for my YZ. On vintage bikes I've had to make a mount for the sensor ... but this was easily done using a bracket I purchased at Ace Hardware. Hope this helps.
Does it come with cable and censor?
scott p on Jul 31, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes Scott the speedo is all set for install with cable and sensor. I brought the unit for my son and he is very pleased with install and function of speedo
Are the mounting brackets included?
A shopper on Oct 25, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The kit does include a plastic mount. You can also buy a more substantial aluminum mount, but for the last 3 Trail tech computers I've had I just use the mount included with the kit. It's a great product.
Where do you find the bar clamps?
Jeri W on Nov 26, 2016
BEST ANSWER: It comes with two clamps. One for 7/8" bars and one for 1 1/8" bars. Either one will attach to the holder for the computer. I mounted mine so it sits right behind my crossbar. They also sell a metal holder that offers a bit more protection, however I had a pretty hard get off with the factory set up and the computer wasn't even phased. I hope this helps
So this is an actual spedometor like on a car? Not like a gps one?
A shopper on Jun 8, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Yes it is a speedometer that measures based on a wheel rotation sensor, and has some other features like time, trip distance etc. No, it does not have GPS.
do you need a 1 amp fuse going directly from the battery for power?
John L on Apr 17, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I have used existing fuse block space and/or factory harness as a source of power on many installs instead of direct connection. These sources can be either switched or constant hot. Using the existing wiring minimizes the number/amount of wires on the battery. Recommend using switched power over direct for any accessories. Switched will isolate the battery from draw when the motor is not running. Just need to locate the factory sources of power. Find the manual or reference diagrams online. Don’t recommend going directly to the battery.
Will this work on any style bike like a crusier?
Jesse H on Mar 8, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I put it on a dual sport dirt bike, you run the cable to the wheel and you run the other to the battery, easy as that. Should work for any type of bike, even a bicycle if you purchase the mini battery pack.
Is the installation on this product fairly easy?
Gregory L on Feb 22, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes. I've installed several on modern and vintage motorcycles. You just need to follow the directions and take time measuring / calibrating the front wheel so you get accurate mileage and speed readings. In some installations I've made my own pick up bracket using simple hardware available from ACE hardware. Good luck.
Will the speedometer and everything still work if I don’t wire the unit into my electrical system? I would rather avoid cutting up my electrical system. I don’t believe there is a plug in on my bike where this would plug into. It’s going on a 2001 YZ125
Connor M on Jan 11, 2019
BEST ANSWER: This unit comes with a power cable that’s not in the picture that you wire into the battery. The other end of the power cable has a plug fitting that plugs into one of the two plugs on the back of the Endurance screen. It won’t work with out power from the bike. You have to attach a magnet to your front wheel. You have to attach a pickup sensor for the magnet to your front fork in very close proximity to the magnet so it will sense the magnet as it spins by. You have to run a cable from the magnet sensor up the fork and plug it into the second plug on the back of the Endurance screen. The endurance works strictly by counting the revolutions of the magnet verses the time from the built in clock of the Endurance. The motorcycle speedometer or any thing else on the bike is affected by the Endurance.
It stopped reading miles/hour. It says 0m/h now. Why is that?
A shopper on Oct 13, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Check your sensor and magnet. If they're not just right it will stop working. Mine quit twice. The second time they sent me a stick on sensor that worked better for my application. Their customer service is great.
Will this plug right in to my 04 WR250F?
Kyle D on Apr 28, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Not familiar with the wiring harness of the WR but it comes with a wiring harness to attached to a battery on the bike or you can use it with the battery the computer has just have to replace the battery over time. Hope this helps! I have used it on two of my bikes! Love them.
Does anyone make a speedometer for a 2016 Kx 100?
corey j on Feb 25, 2017
BEST ANSWER: If you're clever it's easy! All you need is a place to mount a little magnet either bolted are glued on to the front desk. Then the little pick up unit can be strapped to the inside of the fork leg with a couple of Tie wraps this barometer itself just uses a little plastic bracket which is supplied to mount to the handlebars.
Will this product hold up In adverse weather? Snow, rain? Will it continue to work through being EXTREMELY cold? Like -10 Fahrenheit.
Jordan A on Dec 8, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I have had the Trail Teck II speedo on my bike for two years now and have been very happy with its performance. I ride mostly up in Summit county in Colorado and the speedo has worked down to temps around 20 degrees and in rain and snow. Not sure about the -10 degrees given it's a LCD display. I highly recommend the product.
I have a 2008 KTM 200 XC W. Will I be able to use the factory KTM mount (for the speedo unit that is stock), for this new unti? Will the existing cables plug right into this new unit? My current computer seems to eat batteries every other ride.
Brian W on Aug 20, 2017
BEST ANSWER: No it wont fit on the factory mount without modification,
I cant remember if the speed pick up is the same, I think it is
I have recently had problems with the coin type batteries being junk out of the box,
I thought that my computer was eating them also but after the 4th set of batteries I bought
I now have a one that has been working for a month or so.
Look for battery packs with the latest sell by date
Can i just buy the wiring harness?
A shopper on Mar 7, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I am pretty sure you can. You may have to call Rocky Mountain and talk to their customer service department in order to order the correct harness, and if they do not carry it I am sure you could contact Trail Tech direct as they are sure to have what you need.
Does it come with all wiring to hook it up to a machine or does it plug into the existing speedo and computer?
Heath P on Jan 13, 2017
BEST ANSWER: It comes with all the needed wires and connectors for your bike.
Does this come with a mounting bracket?
A shopper on Sep 23, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Ya it comes with a plastic multiple positions mount . I think it's a pretty cheesy design but the aftermarket billet mount is really worth the money. And for the price and the functions the computer does it work really nice for what I do.
will this work on my honda crf 150r?
gavin k on Mar 17, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Yes it will. You only need a battery for the backlight. It will work on almost anything with a front disc brake.
how do you set the speed sensor? since there's different size tires.
Tommy K on Jan 20, 2019
BEST ANSWER: You have to Determine the circumference of your chosen tire by rubbing chalk on one set of knobs and rolling down your driveway several times and measure the distance from Chalkmark to chalk mark And then use the formula included with the instructions to set how many revolutions equal 1 mile
Has anyone installed this onboard a cr250 with stock stator? Or any other motocross bike with no battery and stock stator? Will it work?
Michael Q on Sep 14, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I used a 9 V transistor radio battery for the illumination on my 1986 Yamaha IT200. It last for about three months with occasional use. The unit uses a self-contained battery
Will this work with an ac stator? I have an 05 Banshee with stock stator and no battery.
Jake T on Aug 20, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I run this on an 08 KTM 250sxf with no battery. It just runs off a CR2032 battery just fine. Just no back light on the display but easily readable and works great. Get about a year out of each battery.
How do you calibrate this to your specific bike? mine is showing 7+ MPH faster than my actual speed.
A shopper on Jul 23, 2018
BEST ANSWER: check your manual, it gives the instructions.Idon't have mine in front of me,but you hold in 2buttons at the same time and increase or decrease the number with the 3rd button.if I remember right a larger number slows the speedometer.
how do i connect it to my ds 450 can am i have to go to the main shop or it comes with cables?
A shopper on Jan 21, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Order the correct computer for your bike. Then you can mount the magnet / sensor on the front brake disc / caliper and calibrate for your tire size for accurate speed. Run the sensor cable up zip tied to the front brake cable, and plug into the endurance computer. I’ll runs on batteries and the hard wire option only controls the backlight so I don’t use it. I always buy the aluminum dash board as the plastic clamp on mount is flimsy.
How does this work on a stock dirt bike? Do i need any thing else to make it work on a stock dirt bike?
Mason H on Dec 19, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I installed it on my Honda Rancher ATV and didn't need anything extra. Some guys that did reviews on YouTube were able to mount it to their bikes with no problems. Should be fine. I think they give you everything in the box for bike or ATV. I didn't find a need for anything other than what was in the box. Hope that helps.
