Extra insurance
I carry a small hand pump on my motorcycle to adjust tire pressures when needed, but always worry it may not be enough to re-seat the bead on a tire when changing the tube. I’m hoping this will do the job if necessary. I’m also hoping to never have to use it.

Perfect!
If you need air quick and need a small portable way to carry it, this is your answer. This kit is perfect for any air jobs in a pinch and you can carry as much air as you care to.

First time CO2 user
I needed to shed weight (KLR 650) any way and could, so I put away the Slime pump and got these. I also carry a small bicycle pump for back up. Had a trip down to Juarez, Mexico. Swung by Las Cruces Motorsports and boom - rear flat (nail). Got a room, fixed it in the AM, headed home and boom - another rear flat (21 inch tube in the rear shredded). Managed to wrangle a tube from Harley Davidson and back on the road. Using CO2 was the only fun part of this trip.

Lacks a pouch, but great compact kit
Didn't come with a pouch but I intend on putting it in a vacuum-seal bag like I would use for meat to keep dust away from fittings. Maybe throw a valve cap in there, too. Haven't had to use the kit to inflate anything yet so can't rate performance. Priced right.

Fits nicely in my fender tool pack and actually works! Make sure to also have the tools to remove tire and patch tube or a plug kit if running tubliss

BEST ANSWER: Simple answer is no, but it comes with a Tusk sticker!
The longer answer is do as follows:
Close the red knob (clockwise), then get the tube valve stem at the highest point (not down low) that is convenient. Screw the knurled brass portion of the knob assembly to the tube valve with the red knob pointing as close to straight up as you can (more than 45 degrees). then screw the cartridge into the bottom of the knob assembly fairly quickly (without rushing and cross threading) until seated. Then slowly open the red knob to fill.
The reason for the upright CO2 cylinder and slow release is to push CO2 gas, not liquid through the valve - invert the cylinder and you risk icing up the schrader valve in the tube stem and wasting gas.
How many co2 bottles does it take to fill a tire?????

BEST ANSWER: 1 max 2 wiĺl do it for a sxs tire. Remember you have relatively low pressure. 1 will easily bring a mc tire up to pressure. I usually carry spares as they are cheap.
surprised i could not find this question asked - what is the actual capacity per cartridge? it says 16 grams but what does that mean in actual air used to fill a tire tube? will it fill 1 typical (front or rear) dirt bike tire, two, less than one, etc?
DANIEL D on Apr 29, 2018
BEST ANSWER: In my experience, a 16 gram cartridge will give you 10 or 12 psi in a front or rear tire IF done properly. When you go to pierce the cartridge by screwing it onto the inflator, do it QUICKLY. The operation of piercing the cartridge will initially cause some CO2 to leak until the internals of the inflator mate with the cartridge and seal. If you are slow, you will lose all the gas. It's always better to have a couple cartridges in your kit JIC. Also, if you do not have the inflator attached to the tube when you are installing the cartridge (sometimes it's just easier b/c the spokes, etc are not in the way), make sure the manual valve is closed (duh). Finally, be mindful that rapid expansion of the gas when it is introduced to the tube that is at atmospheric pressure gives up ALOT of heat and acts like a refrigerant.....so the cartridge will ice over. If you don't have an insulated sleeve on the cartridge, make sure you are at least wearing your riding gloves b/c the cartridge will get cold enough to damage your skin.
