I lost my old one. Got this one in and it doesn't fit either of my old Hondas. (78' cb550 and 87'xr200r) and it doesn't fit my 72 rd 350 yamaha. I had previously laced both wheels with new spokes on the yamaha using my (now lost) previous spoke wrench, But this new one doesn't fit anything that I know of - maybe something not from Japan. It would be nicer to just give the $7 to someone who needs it.
Just like several of the comments below, this spoke wrench did not fit my spokes. Waste of money and no point in returning if they're going to charge me for return shipping. Gonna give these away to someone at the track.
This is good for keeping in a bag in the truck. It "works" but doesn't always grip each spoke nipple correctly. You have to be very careful not to strip them. Not as easy to use as a good wrench. It is a simple tool and in a pinch it is nice because of the variable sizes it can work with but for regular maintenance get an actual spoke wrench.
Bought to check spokes on DRZ 400. Rear wheel used #2 size and front was snug with #3 size. Perfect if ur ok with going by sound pitch or don't want to drop money on torque wrench. I'm not super picky, if pitch is close I'm happy. Just avoid over torquing one side and throwing ur wheel out of balance
Great mini spoke wrench. Perfect for in the toolbox or in the offroad bag. I wouldn't use it to lace up a fresh wheel/spoke kit as the sizes are not as precise as some spoke nipple heads need, but still a great multi tool.
This little wrench is a great tool that pretty much everyone has a use for. It's cheap in price, high in quality, and a size that is large enough to fit in your hand but small enough to stash away easily.
The stepped jaw design is clever and really convenient because you can use one tool on multiple sizes of nipple. You don't have to keep track of little detachable wrench heads. Some may complain that it's too short and not enough leverage, but with spoke nipples you're talking inch pounds not foot pounds. So unless your muscles are made of twizzlers this wrench has plenty of leverage.
All in all it's a solid tool. Surprisingly heavy for its size, which im fine with. Definitely doesn't feel like it will bend, and the edges of the jaws have held up well without any rounding or widening
Used this spoke wrench to loosen and remove my stock spoke nipples and about 3 of them bent while using this.. I don't blame the tool though because they were rusted.. I do however feel that anyone who purchases should be aware that this happened.. Hope it helped..
I probably really could have lived with out this product but it does make lover simpler having all the different sizes i need in one wrench so i would suggest it if you have a few bucks to waist or need to get your cart to $99 for the free shipping.
