Got change for a nickle?
Because, that's all this tool is worth.. Why have something you have to squeeze on and rely on that tension while trying to make sure not to squeeze too hard and break something. This POS keeps slipping off the inner basket. They make some that are shaped like a clutch plate and that means that itbwill distribute the load over the entire basket instead of squeezing in 2 points. Makes no sense to purchase these when the alternative is better.

Great multipurpose tool
Used it for holding a clutch on a WR250 and it worked great. Nice that it fits many other bikes and use cases as well. Much bigger and heavier duty than I expected.

Tusk Does it Again
This tool has a simple design, is easy to use and does the job as advertised. It can be used on the bike or on the bench. It's a must have for anyone who does their own maintenance and repair work.

Great value. Looks a bit chincy next to Matco tools but it does the job and does it well.

Worked as expected
I have a 2006 RM 250. While tightening the flywheel it was a little cumbersome but a lot better then then not having the tool at all.

Will this work on a KTM? 2013 300 xc specifically. The inner clutch hub has half round grooves NOT square so I'm wondering.
Ray F on May 2, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes it work on the KTM
Getting ready to change friction/steel plates on '17 KX 100. The manual says I need a Flywheel & Pulley Holder. Will this Tusk Clutch Holding tool suffice?
Dustin M on Oct 25, 2017
BEST ANSWER: This is not a machine specific tool, i am not sure it will work on the 17 100. i used this on my brothers kx 85 and it works but we are not sure on the 100. how ever if you are not planning on changing the clutch basket and just replacing the friction and steel plates this tool is not necessary.
Will it work on Suzuki DR650 and DR350?
A shopper on Sep 13, 2019
BEST ANSWER: It should. It is easily adjusted and will grab the out basket. Just be sure to not crush the basket.
Will this work for a ktm 50 sx clutch?
ben b on Dec 3, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I do not know if this tool will work on a KTM 50. I purchased for a yz250f. I was dissatisfied with this tool. It did not fit the clutch, therefore it does not hold the clutch to loosen or to torque.
will it work on the DRZ400 clutch ?
John F on Jan 28, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes it will work!
Will this work on a 2002 Yamaha Yz426f?
Devin B on May 1, 2019
BEST ANSWER: It will work, however an old steel clutch plate with a handle welded to it works better unless you're working on a lot of different bikes. So far the Tusk Tool has worked on most of the bikes I've worked on.
will it work on 2012 kawasaki kx100 ?
A shopper on Jun 16, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Yes, Fits basically any bike but for some smaller bikes the end of the tool may need to be ground down. Kx100 should not have a problem.
Bought this for my 2009 KX250F and it does not fit in the grooves. Any others?
stefan s on Jul 10, 2017
BEST ANSWER: This is not a machine specific tool. i personally have used this on a KX250F and i actually ground down the ends so it will fit all bikes ranging from 450 to 65's. thanks for your question i hope it helps.
on my Te250, the flywheel lock holes are deep in the flywheel. are there extenders that can be added to the 8mm spanner pins on the back so that I can reach the locking holes of the flywheel?
A shopper on Mar 30, 2020
BEST ANSWER: There are not. You shouldn’t need them. It should be able to hold while you loosen the nut.
