Easy install
Just installed on my 2019 KTM EXC 500F. Very easy install. My only comment would be for the wiring of the integrated turn signals: the left turn signals wire colors matched that on my KTM - black connects to black and red connects to red. For the right turn signal for some reason it had a red wire and a brown wire, so I took a guess and connected red to red and the brown to the black on my KTM, which turned out to be incorrect. I swapped them and it then worked fine.

Tiny plastic cover
I bought these to fit my flex bars and the tusk swivel mount, the hand guard part protecting you hand is WAY to small, the aluminum bar scratches easy while mounting the bolt to the flex bar adapters, The price is good, haven't dropped it yet so can rate durability, I had trouble mounting them on the flex bar mounts.
I would like something that fits the flex bar, but a lot bigger and better looking. they are not pretty and they do not come in Orange a huge thumbs down for no Orange!

Love the look and good protection for the $$$$
Personally I like these a lot! They were fairly easy to install with very clear instructions. They work well to shed some air from your hands as well as brush in the woods (though I haven't done much trail riding yet).

Would recommend!

Don't fit bike listed in machine profie
Bike profile is a KTM 150 XC. Ordered per bike profile but when arrive, they had the mounts for smaller bars. Can't use and no response from customer service yet. Do not order without asking questions if you have a KTM.

I have tested these things more than a few times, and they work. They were a little bit of a hassle to get on, but well worth it. I need to replace my handlebars since they are bent now, but the handguards (and my hands) are just fine!

Quality Guards
They look quite good on the bike and feel very sturdy, it was definitely a hassle getting them mounted nicely and getting the levers to a spot I like them, and the levers do have to sit much lower in order to mount properly, but after fighting with it they are looking really good and I don’t have a problem getting used to the new lever positions.

You have to buy 2 sets of clamps and throw one set out.
You will not complete this install with out a vice. It’s not just some models that need the aluminum bar bent to fit its all of them.

They sell you this as a kit and the clamps provided in the kit will not fit KTM bars and oh hey you have to buy additional clamps so just throw out the the clamps you bought that are in the kit. Clamps should be sold separate so you are not milking customers for 2 sets of clamps.

Also it says you need to know if you have 7/8 or 1 1/8 bars but the KTM bars are tapered so what is it???

The clamp situation is simply not good when you have to buy two sets of clamps and throw one set out.

Response from Rocky Mountain ATV/MC
These Handguards are universal and should fit with some adjustment of controls on the machines handlebars. The KTM OEM handlebars taper from 1 1/8" to 7/8". To get the correct clamp for that tapered bar, you will need to order 1 1/8" clamp kit.

Glad I bought these
They looked pretty dinky in the photos and I was kind of disappointed in the size/look when they showed up. After the smooth install and first trail ride where i came out with scratches all over them and not a single bump to the hand I changed my opinion pretty quick. Clipped a few trees and had a few falls with no body contact was surprising and relieving. Now the big ones on my KTM look kind of weird. Will definitely buy again.

What's the difference between the D-Flex and the D-Flex Pro?
A shopper on Sep 27, 2018
Tusk D-Flex Handguards
Tusk D-Flex Handguards
Tusk D-Flex Pro Handguards
Tusk D-Flex Pro Handguards
BEST ANSWER: The biggest differences would be that the design of the hand guards are different with a different shape in the plastics and the D-Flex Pros come with the option for 7/8" or 1 1/8" mounting hardware whereas the D-Flex comes with 7/8" mounting hardware with the 1 1/8" adapters available to be purchased separately.
Will these fit a 2007 WR450 with Pro Taper bars? The diameter of the handle bars is not constant so the clamp would have to be tapered to match the profile of the handle bars.
A shopper on Jan 15, 2017
BEST ANSWER: They will work with oversized bars if you order the big bar adaptor along with the guards.

A shopper on Nov 19, 2016
BEST ANSWER: No, we don't offer triple clamp adaptors for these handguards.
Are these sold as a set of 2 Left & right. I know it sounds like a dumb question but when you add it to your cart this is what it says???

Includes:
Tusk Aluminum Handguards Silver (1 per pkg.)
Mfg. #191104
Tusk D-Flex Replacement Plastic Handguard Shields Black (1 per pkg.)
TIM T on Nov 30, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes...comes with both sides...and all the hardware you need to install. Tough little buggers too, you can pretty much say goodbye to broken levers!
How many are in a package?
Joe B on Aug 27, 2017
BEST ANSWER: You can find this and other information about the handguards in the details section under the video

Package includes: 1-pair of Tusk Aluminum Handguards with 7/8" bar hardware and 1-pair of Tusk Plastic Handguard Shields. (Larger 1 1/8" clamps are sold separately)

So the answer is 1 pair...left and right.
How about a 17 wr250r?
A shopper on Oct 13, 2017
BEST ANSWER: They should fit if the bike has 7/8" bars, if not there are taper bar mounts available. Having said that, I have found that mounting handguards has always required a little tweaking to get them to fit correctly.
Will these fit a 98 KX60?
A shopper on May 23, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The hand guards seem to be made to fit multiple bike sizes. I bought them for a CRF 80F and found that the aluminum bars weee still A bit long for the bike. I cut the excess off with a hacksaw. Other than that, the guards fit well.
How much clearance (for brake/clutch lever) is there between the handlebar grip and the guard? Want to know if my levers will fit or if I'll need new ones. Thanx
Dave E on May 8, 2017
BEST ANSWER: They should fit, you will have to do a little bit of bending on the aluminum to get it to form to your bike they are all that way. So when you are putting some small bends in make the clearance what you want it to be, or slide the lever just a little. I just put these on a 2014 us with a little bend. They are great hand guards for the money.
Will these fit on a Suzuki DR650?
Shane W on Dec 27, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes, they should. I put them on my DR 350 with no problem. You may need to adjust the position of your controls on the bars slightly. Also remember to trim your grip on the throttle side and check to be sure it doesn't stick.
will it fit my 2016 honda crf125f ?
keaton h on Mar 5, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The Tusk D-flex hand guards should fit on most all standard motorcycle handlebars. They have a degree of adjustment for length using the slot in the handguard body and by positioning the clps on the bars. The CRF bars are pretty bare. I have a set on a DR350 and they are very busy with controls..turn signals, mirrors etc
They fit great. Also had them on a small XR200 with no problems.
Will these fit on a CRF 80?
A shopper on May 10, 2018
BEST ANSWER: From the end of the bar, where the slide into to the inside of the clamp that attaches the guard to the inner bars is about 12” . You will need 12” on each side of the bars for these to mount.
Will these fit on 2014 CRF 250l, dual sport?
Devin C on Apr 19, 2017
BEST ANSWER: It will fit any standard 7/8" bar, which the CRF250L has. The description says 'dirt bikes only', but I've had no problem running them on my dual sport KLX250s.
Will these fit renthal cr high bend bars?
Nathan L on Jul 22, 2018

Is red, Honda red?

Looking for something to fit my 2017 Cfr230f... I know they fit most 7/8” bars... but I’m wondering if there is enough room on my factory handle bars? Thank you
A shopper on May 6, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I have put these handguards on everything from a KTM50 to a Yamaha 450. They are very adjustable and the great thing about Rocky Mountain is if they don't fit they will take them back. It is a win-win with Rocky Mountain.
Any idea if these would work on a versys 300? Someone is claiming they do online.
Matthew S on Apr 4, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I can't imagine that they would not work. These handguards are very adjustable . I have bought several pairs for several different bike and they were very easy to install. If for some reason they don't work out Rocky Mountain is the best by far company to take back parts that don't fit or work they way you think they should.
is the d flex logo a removable sticker?
A shopper on Mar 14, 2018
BEST ANSWER: It wears off after you wreck enough times. Go rip it up in your local gravel pit. You can tell that you are doing it right when your helmet matches your handgaurds.
I run my levers lower than most folks do. Will the bar mount still allow me to run them low or will the brake line clutch cable not allow it?
Bob P on Aug 20, 2017
BEST ANSWER: You will need to do little adjustments on all of the controls during installation to make them fit. I think that you can make the levers about as low as you want, it may cause the handguard to be a little low. I like the levers a little low as well and I was able to make it all fit comfortably.
Will these fit a 17 crf 110?

Will these fit a 2014 Yamaha xt250 ?
paul a on Mar 6, 2017
BEST ANSWER: It's flexible and at most just needs slight bending. Make sure you have the correct handle bar diameter that fits this.
Looking for handguards for kids bikes, Yamaha 2008 TTR125E and Yamaha 2007 TTR50. Pretty sure these will fit the TTR125E but not sure about the TTR50. Anyone know if these will work on a TTR50?
Baron W on Mar 5, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I bought these for my wifes TTR125, and although the handlebar shape is different for the 50 I would assume that they would fit because of how versatile the mounting system is on these guards. And the part that inserts into the handle bar will fit the diameter of the handlebars on the 50. If they don't work for some reason, Rocky Mountain is always good about handling returns. Hope that helps.
Will this fit a 2017 Non DCT AFRICA TWIN?
A shopper on Jun 23, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Do the Tusk D Fex Handguards fit the AT, I guess they would have models to suit the Africa Twin, my purchase was for the crf250L. Very happy with the Tusk Handguards as they look good, well made and are value for money compared to other brands. Off road for ever.

BEST ANSWER: Hi Kevin. The distance from the bar end to the clamp bolt center line on these tusk hand guards is almost exactly 12". The clamp itself is about an inch so the maximum in reach along the bars length for install is 12.5" . The clearance from the grip out to the aluminum back bone - or Knuckle clearance/lever end clearance is 5 ". As you can see the backbone has a curve to it so the clearance to the lever near the levers pivot is less but much less is needed there. On my DRZ, I gained much more clearance than I had when using an Acerbis guard previously.
Will they work on a stock 2008 Honda CRF100F?
A shopper on Sep 14, 2018
BEST ANSWER: They should work. I installed on a 2015 CRF. They just require you to cut off the end of the hand grip and then possibly move around clamps if needed. I did not need to move anything but I am not sure where the clamps are on your handle bars. Very easy.
I bought a pair of these and they are great though Im thinking I need a bit more protection from the elements. Is there a bigger replacement handguard that will fit these?

BEST ANSWER: I have seen other d flex guards on other bikes. Worst case scenario I think you could just drill new hole sin the plastic

will they fit 2015 DRZ 400 SM with stock rethnal tapered bars "fatbars" and if so how difficult to install?
Stephen A on Jun 15, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Will work but may need 1 1/8 mounting adapter for fat bars. Pretty simple install. Just make sure you cut away enough grip on throttle and move throttle away from bar end in case of crash throttle won't get stuck. I have put these on two of my sons bikes and they no longer break levers and they are holding up well
