Really like having turn signals on the hand guards . Mounting screws that hold the light on the back of the guard are very small hope the hold up.

Already paid for themselves. Could use better bolts tho
Installation on my WR250R was pretty straight forward. Watch the youtube videos because they have some very useful tips like how to make a perfect hole in your grips. My only complaint is that the bolts seem to be made of a soft metal that is easy to round if you aren't extremely careful to keep the allen socket all the way in all the time. Other than that this seems like a great value. The headlights work great although I did need to buy the adapter from 12 o'clock labs so that they would act as both turn signals and running lights. I had a nasty spill with these handguards on and they did the job.

Awesome looks, great LEDs, super heavy duty!
Probably the best thing I have put on my bike! Having the turn signals built in really cleaned up the look of my bike. Heavy duty also.

Blinker cleanup/ hand guards
I wanted both hand protection and to clean up the front end. This was a great option. They hit on both. I added the LED Flasher and wiring harness to keep both running lights and blinker.

These are so nice
Installing hand guards is a bit of work but these are the quickest and easiest ones I've installed so far. I did have to bend them but only a little bit. They cleared the brake and clutch levers just fine, they look great and the LED turn signals are hidden well, can be seen by other vehicles and look great. The price is half that of name brands. I have purchased quite a few of RM's TUSK brand parts and I like them all a lot. Thank you RM.

Great Hand Guards
I was looking to get a set of handguards and a set of turn signals for my dual sport and i came across these. They where cheaper than other brands and included the turn signals. They were installed in just a few minutes and have been awesome ever since. No hard crashes with them yet but they are holding up great!!

Great bar, cheap plastic, buy separate
The bars are great and with a little cussing and doing they mounted to my KLR very nicely. The plastic covers are ok at best. The fit and finish off the turn signal leaves a lot to be desired. I upgraded to the newer version of the shield and am very happy with it.

To install the bars on the KLR you will need to re route the choke cable out of the metal loop on the bar. This will allow room for the clamp. They will mount level, with the bar slightly above the levers. I also tilted my clutch lever down a little to clear the mount. I went to the hardware store and picked up some 2" counter sunk screws that matched the threads on the bar end instead of drilling out the plug.

I would recommend buying this bar sperate and the newer version of the plastics without the turn indicator, but not this kit.

Do these come in white?
A shopper on Jan 26, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I looked into this and unfortunately we only carry this in black. I'm sorry for the inconvenience.
Would it be possible to wire the lights so that they're on all the time steady if I'm not using the turn signals? So, if no turn signal on, both on steady; if left turn signal on, left blinking and right steady; vice versa for right signal; if hazard signal on, both blinking. Would that be do-able, and if so, how? 2011 Suzuki V-Strom DL650A.
Robert S on Oct 5, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The turn signal LED contained in the Tusk gandguards could be made to glow steady Or connected to your turn signal flasher they will illuminate when the appropriate turn signal is switched on. Out of the box the LED will not perform both steady lighting and turn signal flasher. To do so would require a special electronic controller.
Are the graphics on the guards stickers or screen printed on?
Andre A on Jun 21, 2019
BEST ANSWER: If I remember correctly, the D-Flex wording on top is painted on raised lettering but the big TUSK logo is a sticker that you can peel off.
How does this connect to the existing wiring harness? I'm thinking of installing on an '08 DL650 - do I need anything else to connect it?
A shopper on Dec 1, 2016
BEST ANSWER: You will need to find the wiring that runs the blinkers. On my bike I ran the wires back to under the seat. I removed the gas tank and seat to do a pro install. I did cut open the wires for the blinkers and tied the tusk wiring into the factory wiring harness. I used heat shrink and soldered the wires to make it a professional waterproof installation. You can easily just just use wire connectors from a local store to speed the install up. This task took about an hour after install of the hand guards. You may need some extra zip ties when installing depending on how you route the wires. I did go down two times this summer onto the hand guards when traveling out west on my 40 day trip. One time was hitting a deer South of Polebridge, MT on the gravel road and the other was a slow motion tip over climbing a mountain trail over rocky conditions. The guards did their job and held up. These add a cheap additional level of protection for visibility. You will be happy with them once installed.
Does it come with both left and right handgaurds?
A shopper on Mar 22, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes it does, it is a complete handguard setup with indicators. I have had mine for 2 years now without any problems, it has taken a few crashes & everthing still works.
How does this tie into the existing wiring harness? I'm thinking of installing on an '08 DL650--will I need anything special to connect the turn signals?
A shopper on Dec 1, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Hi there. I bought them for previous bike and never bothered to hook up the lights. However, it looked like a very simple job. Each handguard turn signal had a simple pair of wires and I had planned to simply tap into the wiring going to each turn signal. As it turns out, I sold that bike before I did the job ... and now own a 2008 V-strom 650! I think on the 650 I would just tap into the turn signal wiring.
Have fun with your bike.
Do you have to use the wrap around mount ?
dave c on Jul 14, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I prefer the wrap arounds due to the fact that I ride a lot of tight woods trails where the trees are very close and they have saved my hands many times and they save levers as well if you happen to go down,we do a trip out west twice a year and it is very rocky out there and they are a life saver if you go down out there.
Are these DOT approved?
scott f on Aug 9, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Hey Scott, my klx250 passed inspection with these in PA. I'm sure it depends on your inspection guy. Maybe get their opinion before purchasing.
Does these work on 1 1/8 bars Husqvarna fe501 2017?
A shopper on Mar 30, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I am not sure, you need to buy the big bar adaptor kit. I had to machine a little bit off these but they now fit my KTM500 and ate great!
will the hand guards mount to another bar like crycra prebends?
Branden S on Sep 3, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Not familiar with "crycra prebends" but they fit my 28mm fat bars.
They have enough tolerence it appears to fit 20-30mm bars.
I just want to verify that these are the complete kit with hardware for a 2 point connection on each side of the bars, not the flag setup?
Wendy M on Nov 2, 2017
BEST ANSWER: yes that is correct.
Which product would be best for my 2011 Suzuki V-Strom DL650? This one? Or either of:

Tusk MX D-Flex MC Handguards with Turn Signals Black - Part# 1285740001 or

Tusk MX D-Flex ATV Handguards with Turn Signals Black - Part# 1285730001?

Tusk MX D-Flex ATV Handguards with Turn Signals
Tusk MX D-Flex ATV Handguards with Turn Signals
Tusk MX D-Flex MC Handguards with Turn Signals
Tusk MX D-Flex MC Handguards with Turn Signals
BEST ANSWER: It would depend on what you were looking for exactly. The main difference between the D-Flex and MX D-Flex is that the D-Flex is a wrap around guard with an aluminum bar to help with more protection. The MX D-Flex are a "Flag Style" guard. They both work excellent. I would also recommend checking into the D-Flex Pro handguards with turn signals. They have larger shields and provide more protection against wind and debris.
