Good value. Like them.
Installed easily. Be cautious in reinstalling your grips and make sure you place the wires in a manner as to not tighten them to the point of breakage. I removed the resistor as recommended by a YouTube video and have even heat. I am running Oury grips which are very thick and soft, so I have to run the grips on high to notice the warmth. With that said, they don't make my hands hot but rather keep them from getting cold. I installed a set of hot grips on my Sportsman about 15 years ago and those will melt your hands off while drying your wet gloves, so this is a nice compromise. I live in WA state so rainy cold rides are the norm.

works great but....
These won't work with lock on grips so if you have lock on grips, you'll have to buy new regular grips. When you install regular grips, you glue them on. When you remove those glued on grips later, you just cut them off which will ruin these heaters. There's no saving them. The performance is awesome. Durability is unknown because I've only got one ride with them so far. They get pretty hot. It was low 30's F today and I rode with them on low most of the day. I think they're a great thing with a lot of benefits for cold riding, but definitely spend the extra money for the lock on ones.

So far so good.
I bought these for fall/winter riding in Ohio. Easy to install and work fairly well. Now your hands are not going to be burning up but they are just enough to take the edge off.

Great for cold weather riding
These grip warmers are an excellent value for the price.
I've been winter riding for many years and have bought at least 8 sets of these over the years for mine and my daughters bikes. (had to add lighting coil to her CRF230F)
If you have a KTM, Husky or any bike with a lighting coil, and ride in the colder seasons, these are perfect....
If you keep the wires leading to the throttle properly tucked (and don't wipe out on the trees and shrubs as you warthog off the trail) these can easily last 2 or three seasons and although I have broken the power wires at the throttle before, I've also soldered them back together and gotten another season out of them. The only drawback is the resistor gets hot on LOW setting and can get broken from bouncing around behind the number plate up front too, so it must also be secured. Still one of my MANDATORY winter items... Only my Trellies are more important

Work great
Just got back from Hatfield McCoy and they worked gray for me. As mentioned before, I would highly recommend zip tying the leads.

Great! Be sure to listen to video
These are nice and toasty. I love this upgrade.

I initially didnt give enough slack to the hot wire on my throttle tube side, and it ripped at some point. I re-soldered it, and zip tied with more slack. Should be good!.

One season in
Installed these on my bike and my wife's bike. The install was easy enough and the instruction video was very clear. After a few months of use, we both ended up having the wire pull away from the ceramic resistor on the Low side - after replacing with a flasher relay, both work great.

Can you use clamp or lock on style grips with these?
A shopper on Aug 26, 2018
BEST ANSWER: they go under grip, which is usally vulcaised to base tube.grip would have to be cut off, thus reglued on new throttle side grip over grid. i use a thin black plastic water pipe for tube longer with hose clamp to secure to bar.then install grid and glue throttle side grip over grid,to insulate from aluminum bar to heat same as r/s.l
Is it difficult to get the handle grips back on with the heaters on the handle bars ?
JOHN R on Dec 4, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I just did this on a TRX250X. It was easy to get the grips back on the heaters. I used Renthal glue and they slipped right on.
I watched the video on install. I do still have a question or concern. For those of you that installed these. Are you gluing your grips on? Or are you just using WD40 or hair spray and sliding them on over the heat tape? Also.....If you chose to glue your grips on over the tape. Did your grips stay in place good? Thank You
Shaun Y on Nov 10, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Put a layer of electrical tape on your left handlebar BEFORE attaching the grip heater otherwise the aluminum is too big a heat sink. The right side is not a problem because of the plastic throttle tube. The right side still gets a little hotter.

I just slip the grips over the grip heaters and then safety wire the grips on.
Will these work on a/c power? Or D/C only?
Travis D on Sep 14, 2018
BEST ANSWER: The stock stator on all motorcycles generate AC voltage regardless of year, make or model bike. I have them on my 2009 KTM 530 EXC and they work great! The high setting is almost too warm. I use low almost everyday
I am wiring these through a fuse block and want to know what amp fuse to use for the circuit?
Zachary S on Jun 15, 2018
BEST ANSWER: The unit only draws 1.67 amps plus or minus 5%. A 2.5 amp fuse will be plenty of protection following the 80% rule, which would be 2 amps. Well above stated power consumption.
Is this 20 watts total? or 20 watts PER SIDE?
Shaun Y on Dec 6, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I don't know, but they sure work nice to keep my hands warm. Unless it is real cold I get by on the low setting. My circulation at 72 years old isn't as good as it used to be so I'm thankful for the high setting in sub zero weather.
Where did you mount this on the KTM 690? In the video it shows drilling a hole in the plastic, but there is not any plastic in the handle bar area to drill for the 690.
Bryan B on Mar 8, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Which part are you talking about?
The video shows it being installed on an atv not a bike.
I put them on my KTM 300xcw, but I was looking for a smaller low profile switch.

You can mount the toggle switch wherever you want.
The Rocky Mountain KTM 1090 build video shows the Tusk grip heaters being connected to the bikes combination instrument rather than using the supplied switch. Is this difficult & are there instructions to achieve this?
Jon H on Apr 30, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Not sure I've installed the heaters on Polaris 4 wheelers only but the switch allows you to control hi or low or off while riding and you can hook the power to a key switch then if you forget to turn them off they will shut off we you turn off your bike. Hope that helps
i have a 2015 ktm 200 xc-w with headlight. where and which wire should i tie into? color and location please?
Oldfatnslow on Dec 5, 2017
BEST ANSWER: where ever there is power. people choose different power outlets all the time. here is a video that better explains it. you can tie into anything with power. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qn00DrapB1A
will I need new grips to install tusk heated grips on a 2013 Polaris sportsman?
Craig Z on Dec 3, 2017
BEST ANSWER: if you glued your grips on then yes cause you would have to cut them off to get them off.
What size hole do I need to mount the switch?
Shaun V on Nov 22, 2016
BEST ANSWER: This kit requires a 1/2" hole for mounting the switch.
