I prefer the fork guards that zip on
These require you to remove your forks for you to install them. They work well when installed though.

    Nice added touch!
Just purchased these fork seal neoprene covers and wow do they work limiting debris up inside my seals. 100% recommend these as they are inexspensive for the job they do to protect fork seals. Pays for itself.

    Worth the money
I like them so far. They were a little more of a task to install than I imagined then being, but they’re holding up and doing their job. Fitment was pretty tight. Soaking them in warm water before installing them helped some. I’d buy em again.

Have used these since 06' on several different bikes and the product works great. I've not had a seal leak since I started using these so well worth installing.

    Looks to small to fit
These look way to small to fit. I haven't installed them and have looks at Shock Sox's as an alternative due to the ease of removing for cleaning. But they want me to remove a piece near the seal that would also cause disassembly of the front end.

    Can't anyone make it simple.

    Works to keep seals clean
These will keep the seals clean, just make sure you clean under them after a real;y dusty or sandy ride.

Garbage. Frayed after a couple of weeks
    Pros:
    Cheap

    Cons:
    Cheap
You have to remove the forks to install, which also mean keeping the forks clean under them is difficult.
They frayed after just a couple of weeks.
Rode in some mud. Because they were frayed, the mud got caught between the this cover and the fork. Now my fork seals are leaking. Not worth the money, time, or effort.

The fork diameter is specified but what is the length of of the Short and Long versions?
    James C on Oct 3, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The long guards measure about 12 3/4" and the short measure about 6".
do i need to pull my forks out of the triple tree to instal these?
    peter m on Dec 12, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes, you should pull the forks. It would be extremely difficult to mount from the bottom because of the brake caliber bracket. In any event you still need to pull the wheel. I've tried some wrap around fork skins that fasten with Velcro, but found them to not hold up very well.
If they get wet, do I need to remove them to dry or can they dry on the forks without causing rust or corrosion?
    Shon A on May 9, 2019
BEST ANSWER: They should be fine if they get wet. However, if you use the neoprene seal guards that do not go the entire length of the fork, suggest that you roll them up and clean out the debris that ends up in there, (especially after a muddy ride). Also be sure to wash/wipe down fork tubes after a muddy ride.
Do you get two for 10 dollars?
