Awesome little container keeps my spair dry n damage free
-m-2013 SUZUKI RMZ450--i have set up as a snowbike is thee only key to my sainaty these day so gotta keep the parts comeimg from my favorite on line distribution sight Rocky mountain atv/ mc gives great deals on shipping and discount items for your motorcycle
I ordered 4 of these so I could have one for each of my 4 bikes.
Spark plugs fit in for 3 of them: 2015 VStrom 650, 2012 KLR 650, 2005 KTM 450 EXC
Did not fit for 1 of them: 2005 KTM 250 XC-W, plug NGK BR7ES
I like the bright yellow and solid plastic case - very durable and easy to find at the bottom of a gear bag. Wish it had a better description of the width to verify your plug would fit before ordering. Overall happy with the 3 that work for me.
I assume it is designed to be a tight fit so the plug cannot bounce around in the case and change gapping. But it doesn't have to be as tight as it is. Quite difficult to insert or remove from the case. But gets the job done.
Water tight, it’s rigid and durable to protect the plug and thankfully I got it in bright yellow so you can drop it in the mud while swapping out the plug at night on the trail after a failed water crossing.
Does not fit all spark plugs like it says. NGK BR7ES will not fit without excessive force. So much that if you needed it on the trail I think youd struggle to pull the plug out. I got it about 1/3 of the way in and stopped. Really bummed for a cheap price they are awesome little cases just wont fit my plug.
Unfortunately, I didn’t read the reviews here before purchasing it. It would not fit the plug for my KTM 300. I tried tapping it out with a drill but blew through the side. The only fortunate thing is that it was only $1.99 so not too painful to throw away. I’m still looking for one that will fit the plug properly.
Do not buy if you are buying for a 2-stroke plug. It appears to be made for a 4-stroke plug (smaller). I agree with Spencer Y that it is a dumb product, no 4-stroke bike I ever had needed a plug change on the trail, only 2-stroke bike would need that!!
If you have a lawn mower, chainsaw or the like and want to carry a plug on it and need to change the plug while you're using it and you don't want to walk back to the garage to get a plug, then this case is for you!
STUPID PRODUCT Let's use some common sense here most two stroke owners carry a spare spark plug 1% of 4-stroke owners carry a spare spark plug why would you not make this fit a two-stroke spark plug stupid product redesign it throw it away
The elctro-flow of a 2-stroke is radically different than that of a 4-stroke. Therefore the polarity of this holder would be reversed and the imposition of a 2-stroke plug into the cavity of the 4-stroke plug holder might cause a catastrophic event, resulting in great damage to body and machine. That being said, why not?
I wear a fanny pack with tools etc so i have what I need when I need it. An extra plug wont be any good without tools. It wont take up much room in a fanny pack and it will definitely protect the spare plug.
