easy to use valve spring compressor
I found the entire kit easy to use for the most part. The end of the tool that sits over top of the valve spring could be better fitting. Maybe add 1 or 2 more adaptor ends and this set would be great.

Appears to be a decent tool at a great price
I purchased this before rebuilding the top end on my kids 2012 crf250r, but did not use it. The head appeared in great condition and did not leak or weep when i poured gas into each port. If it ain't broke don't fix it. I usually buy Motion Pro tools, but this was less than half the price and looks to be decent quality. My other son has a 2007 that needs a top end soon so will probably end up using it then.

Great price, does exactly what it is designed to do.
The valve spring compressor comes with several adapters for different size valves. It is easy to use, and it delivers what it promises. I would definitely recommend this item for anyone regularly rebuilding four cycle atv/dirtbike engines.

Will this item work for the Yamaha valve spring compression tool called out in their service manuals? Also, will the adapters included work for a 22mm retainer or is it possible to buy extra adapters?

Thanks, bigwill400
William M on Oct 4, 2016
BEST ANSWER: My son exclusively rides Yamaha so I have done several engines with this kit. It's a little tricky to compress as it uses a screw instead of a compression handle, but it works well and is compact enough to keep in the trailer in case of an issue at the track. As for your 22mm retainer question. The medium sized adapter has a range of 23mm to 21.5mm so it should work just fine. As I said I have done several motors (Raptor 80, 125 and 350) and have not had an issue.
Will this item work on a 2012 RZR 900 XP?
Tyson S on Sep 9, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Tyson, I have this tool and it works very nicely. So far, I have had no issues with it on any valve assemblies. I recommend it for any of your projects. It will work nicely on RZR heads.'
Will this work while head is still attached to bottom end?
George R on Apr 21, 2020
BEST ANSWER: The cylinder head must be removed. Hope this helps
Will this work with car heads too? Figure if I'm going to own a valve spring compressor, it should work on most vehicles.
James M on Jul 10, 2018
BEST ANSWER: It will work on some import style heads but you will be limited on thickeness if head, valve spring od and how far in from the side of the head you can reach. I wouldnt expect it to work on every auto head. But work perfect for motorcycle/atv.
30mm?
Chris E on Sep 13, 2017
BEST ANSWER: 19, 23, 25 mm only.
