Made from a thick, durable Acrylic/Nylon blend fabric that wicks away moisture and provides ultimate comfort. Anatomically placed high-stretch panels ensure the ultimate feel while keeping the sock in place. Stretch panels are located in the foot arch, lower ankle and upper calf sections of the sock. I thought these would be too tight after putting them on. Calf has extra elastic. They are very comfortable and stayed up. Wore them for 14 hours and they still stayed up and were comfortable. I didn't get clammy feet from these socks. They wicked away moisture from my feet and kept them dry all day long. Would recommend these socks.
I'm a size 11 shoe and the socks fit well. Very comfortable. I've never worn socks pulled up above the knee, and have been good with it. Since these socks, (if stretched a bit), are long enough, I tested the "above the knee" method. But after a day of riding they had slipped down to just below the knee. But I like the socks and will probably order a second pair soon.
Earlier I asked if they would dry out overnight if left to hang dry. Found out they will be pretty much dry in the morning if in a moderatly warm and dry climate overnight. Nice feature if you're looking for socks to last multiple days without getting stinkfoot.
Also, they are very soft and moderately thick. Super comfortable... highly recommended.
With all the Thinsulate boots out there, you really need to have a "technical" sock, or that's what my dealer said. It's true, to keep your feet from sweating you need these type of socks. RMATVMC has great prices, I bought several pairs for sledding and heavy work boots. It beats paying 30-40 $ for Klim and work just as good.
I like how tall these socks are. I'm 6'0" and they came up about 3" above my knee. I don't like however, how thin they are. Probably nice for summer, but I like a thicker sock in my boots. Kinda made my foot feel slightly sloppy in my boots.
I love this sock for riding. But I love this sock so much that I wear them in the winter in my work boots, when I go out sledding in the winter to stay warm. I love wearing them around the house etc. They feel so good when you put them on your feet and they fit perfect. The price is great and I have bought these socks for my entire family even my kids love them. Cheap price, look cool, fit perfect and feel great!!
These are a great sock that adds some padding for those long woods races, probably a tad heavy for mx use. I wear these to race quads in my Fox Comp boots, they make the boots feel comfy and no blisters for a 2 hr race.
I have large calves and when I pulled a sock on my right foot, I tore a hole with my finger as I was getting it over my calf. I had no issues with the left sock. I called RM and they backed their product 100% She told me she would get me a new pair right away, and that I didn't have to worry about sending the ripped ones in. I had been wanting the ARC corona knee guards, and asked if they could send those with the socks as well. I paid for the knee guards ($10.99 incredible value) and they shipped them with the socks for free! At this point I am feeling pretty good about the whole deal, but RM wasn't finished yet.. I received my socks and knee guards the very next day in Washington. I have had no further issues with durability of this product.
My son and I picked out some items from the clearance section. All items are exactly as represented and a great value. We wore our new socks and shirts on our very next ride (2 days later). On the way up our Ford truck’s pre-ride air freshener had us pumped. We will definitely check out RockyMountainAtVMc.com again
