Good for what we needed them for?
We ordered the wrong size but didn't have time to replace before the race. He wore them even though they were too big. My son states that he did not feel restricted in them at all. We have no other elbow guards to compare to. He's 6ft, 180lbs, ordered a large but should have gotten the medium size.

These have been great for me. I like the slip on and how good they stay on my arms, they dont slide or move much and dont have a strap that has to be tightened. I ride in the woods and moto, work great on both for me.

A good option
Long term review after using these for the better part of two seasons now, I like them. The CE2 protection is nice when I'm in dual sport mode and linking up dirt routes with asphalt. They are comfortable and not overly hot in my climate (WY). They do slip down further than I'd like them too with aggressive and or rough riding. With my experience with elastic Velcro straps, I'll be needing a new pair before long as I will keep stretching the elastic for a tighter fit till the elastic just doesn't hold anymore. I bought these after taking a spill on a two track and scuffing up the bottom side of my forearm. These would have prevented that. I haven't repeated this type of fall since so I don't really know but suspect they would do the trick. Like another reviewer stated, the ability to connect the elbow to upper arm/shoulder protection would really help with keeping them in place. Guess that's why they make the full protective shirts, which is what I'm moving towards trying next. Overall a great pad though.

Lightweight, but durability is questionable
Klim offers no sizing information for either their elbow or knee guards ... I found these to be sized small, so my advice is to size up. They do seem light weight and are constructed from a micro mesh that should provide better ventilation. Although the mesh will not be as durable.... I did tear the mesh on a set of the knee guards right at a corner stitch point for the hook and loop.
