Great boots for my wide feet.
Wider than the newer one's so I hear. I cannot attest to this because these are the only MX boots ones I own. I would honestly replace them with the same boots if they were lost in a fire. Max protection out of the box with great comfort that only gets better with use. They squeak a bit while walking but I didn't buy them for walking.

Fantastic entry level boot
I'm a big fan of these. Perfect entry level boots. Gaerne products are always high quality. Very protective, comfortable, and very little break-in time. I don't think they feel too heavy. The buckles are the best on the market. They're surprisingly good as keeping water out. They have kept my feet dry each of the countless times I've rode in creeks. I assume if submerge your foot for an extended period of time your feet would get wet. The only downside to these boots is that they squeak - LOUDLY. You could hear me walking from 50 yards away before I turned my boots upside down and sprayed some of the Tusk chainlube inside of the hinge and it took care of that issue.
