I ride both trail bike and 4X4 in desert and semi-arid regions of the western U.S. This mask is great in that it can be easily cleaned between rides or even when you are on the trail, if you have access to clean water. It dries out quickly and you are back on the trail in no time. Easily fits under a full-face helmet.
Mask filtered the dust like they said it would, but when I put the nosepiece where it needed to be my glasses fogged up and couldn't see, when I pulled it down on my nose so glasses didn't fog up it pinched my nose. No matter how much we adjusted them it wasn't comfortable and didn't use them while we were at the Rocky Mountain Jamboree 2019. Would not recommend this product
This is a bit small and the metal nose bridge really digs into your nose and it not maleable enough to adjust.I may use without a helmet on my quad, but doubt I'll use with a full face helmet on my KLR.
Was really liking this for a couple of hours. Was able to breath, not too hot (no helmet). some how one of the filter assemblies fell apart during the ride leaving a big hole in one side of the mask :(
When riding with a big group, if you're not if the front on a dusty trail, you eat everyone else's dust all day. When I found this mask I was a little skeptical that it would work but it really does! It's comfortable to wear all day too. The nose piece conforms perfectly to your nose and the valves keep the heat and moisture out. Most importantly, it keeps the dust out. That makes for a comfortable face all day long. Highly recommend it! Now I just need to find goggles that don't collect dust...
This does a great job at filtering the dust when your riding in a group and can't get out in front. Fit is ok but does not fit well when wearing a helmet (which I know we should every time) When wearing with goggles the goggles sit right on the bridge of my nose where the dust mask meets and creates a pressure point the becomes sore after a day of riding. I should mention that I do wear glasses and my goggles are OTG style so not sure if that makes a difference. When I place the mask on and get the straps adjusted its fine. But then when you slide on your helmet it moves the straps. Not sure what the fix is but it makes me not use it as much as I would have liked.
I bought a couple of these masks for me and my husband to wear in our razor. We usually ride with a caravan of family and friends and this has really been great for us. The nose piece can be adjusted so it fits us both perfectly. I also like how you can throw them in the washing machine when you are done!
I have really enjoyed this mask. I bought it to use on the dusty trails and I have to admit the mask works great. I used to use a regular bandana, but I hated how it would get wet from condensation and make it even harder to breathe. This mask keeps my face dry and the dust out.
I bought this dust mask after trying two others and it is definitely made better than the others and uses better material but I still can't keep it on my face. They all fall down after a while or sag to where the nose area has a gap that lets everything in. I think it is because they all strap low around the neck.
Every trail rider needs one, I usually ride with half balaclava's or full dependant on temp's - but this allows alot more air flow and by the end of the ride, I'm not pulling out have a KG of dirt from my nose.
