Designed to protect with a fit and feel that never gets in the way, the F2 has earned high praise as one of the best helmets out there - and for a good reason. Easy comfort. All-time protection. A seriously sleek look. Features a one-piece tri-composite carbon fiber shell, mouth guard. Multi-Directional Impact Protection System (MIPS) and strategically placed venting for superior airflow. Go faster and soar higher with the elevated protection of the F2.
MIPS® Brain Protection System in a helmet integrated, low-friction layer designed to reduce rotational motion transferred to the brain from angled impact to the head.
Carbon Matrix composite shell.
Dual density EPS liner.
Custom rubber trim with integrated nose guard.
Lightweight machined aluminum visor screws and stainless steel rivets and D-rings.
Removable and washable Coolmax® comfort liner and cheek pads.
All Fly helmets have TFV (True Functional Ventilation). When in motion air is forced through multiple air intake vents, then passed through aligned vent channels in the EPS and exits out multiple rear exhaust vents.
Quad-vent above eye port draws air from goggle to reduce fogging.
Soft fleece helmet bag included.
For proper fit and size, measure the circumference of your head 1" above your eyebrows and around the largest portion of the back of your head.
MIPS (Multi-Directional Impact Protection System) is a specialized helmet safety technology that is now being used in the top tier of off road helmets in order to greatly lessen the chances of traumatic brain injury.
By integrating an engineered low-friction layer into the liner of the helmet, MIPS enables a relative sliding motion between the head and the helmet so angular and rotational impact forces are absorbed and deflected.
Since most head impacts occur at oblique and unpredictable angles, helmets with MIPS Technology are able to offer better protection than helmets without.
I don't have fat cheeks, I'm a skinny guy with a narrow jaw. I tried the Meduim, then the Large, then the XL. These helmets are China small, the mouth guard is really close, like you can touch it with your tongue, and the cheeks are stupid tight. I normally ride with an HJC Medium.
I finally found a great fit. I’ve tried on so many different helmets, purchased a few, exchanged a few, and I’ve never found the right one. I think I’ve nailed it this time. I needed a light but protective helmet and this is the lightest thing I’ve ever put on. The box felt heavier. I tend to get headaches from heavier helmets which makes for a less enjoyable ride. It fits well, protects well, and is very comfortable. Graphics are great too. Not too much going on, but just enough for a smooth look.
Do not know exact weight, but Fly F2 Carbon helmet feels very light when wearing especially compared to my previous composite helmet. Liner material feels great. Cheek pads are comfortable but definitely snug, at least when new.
