In the Forma hierarchy of adventure boots, the Terra sits at the top of the pile as a highly protective, highly capable dual-sport boot that’s geared towards intense, hardcore riders that hold protection and performance at a premium.

The Terra fills that role with an entire host of premium features. Initially you’re looking at a full grain upper with TPU paneling and accordion movement panels at the flex zones. Internally the Terra is much, much more aggressive with hard TPU protection encompassing the entire toe box, running along the entire shin, and covering both the medial and lateral malleolus/ankle bones.

There’s also a waterproof DRYTEX liner running up to the velcro closure, a nicely done three buckle system that’s both securely latching and easy to use, and finally the heavily lugged dual-density sole finds all sorts of traction and is reinforced by a steel shank that makes the foot bed extremely rigid.

So while it may be a little too stiff for a stroll around your destination, the Terra is a nearly perfect balance between the lightweight feel of a more casual riding boot and the heavy impact absorption of a pure motocross boot. A great choice for bridging the gap and handling most types of adventure, dual sport, and touring riding.

    Specs:
  • CE Certified quality.
  • Full-grain Oiled Leather upper.
  • DRYTEX lining (Waterproof/Breathable).
  • Adventure double density anti-slip welt sole.
  • Injection molded plastic front plate.
  • Plastic gear pad protection.
  • Adjustable strap and Velcro closure.
  • Unbreakable and adjustable Alloy buckles.
  • Shin and ankle TPU molded plastic protection.
  • Ankle reinforcements.
  • Special rigid nylon mid-sole with steel shank.
  • Extra soft polymer padding with memory foam.
  • Anti-bacterial replaceable footbed with APS.
  • Optional Stainless steel toe caps (included).

Forma USA is a truly stand up company - Terra EVOs better
I posted this review elsewhere, but wanted to share it here:
I wanted to relay a truly rare and amazing experience with Forma USA. This is a company that steadfastly stands behind its products. I had a pair of the previous generation Evo adventure touring boots, with very few miles on them, almost none were off road. The area around the external ankle armor “pucks”, which have since been replaced with an external plastic hinged piece, began to collapse inward and pinched my ankle badly. The boots were extremely high quality, easily the nicest I had owned except for this one issue on one side. I appeared to me that a soft or thin batch of leather had worked its way into the manufacturing.
I dealt with the issue long enough that the official warrantee period had passed (mostly because of a long non-riding season here in the inland northwest). I finally sent photos and a good description to Forma USA in a vain hope they might be willing to help. To my vast surprise Forma not only replaced the boots, but replaced them with the new Terra Evo model! They even sent the alternative color at my request!
I got these Terras after a lot of research, and the Evo version is even better than the previous version after addressing what must have been a design issue with the ankle. The alternatives with equivalent features were all much more expensive (I’m looking at you AStars Toucans, and Sidi Adventure 2), or did not have the external armor or welt sole (TCX Drifter, and Astars Corazol). My previous ADV boots were TCX Track WPs. These ended up being much too narrow for my feet, and while they looked purposeful, were really not that much more protective than tall hiking boots. The little metatarsal protective disks over the ankle bones were a bit of a joke, and the upper and sole were quite soft. Nice for walking, bad for standing and protection. The Terras fit my medium-wide feet beautifully, and strike (I think) just the right balance between stormtrooper and sturdy. I do wish the pivot system was a bit more pivot-y. I am not sure if it just needs to be broken in, or lubed (weird) or loosened, or what. Otherwise, they are identical to the previous model, and I expect them to break in nicely.
If you are cross-shopping, I highly recommend these boots, especially if you have normal American feet that are not European narrow, and value your anatomy below the knee. I recommend even more the company, Forma. They demonstrated something precious in this age of Alibaba knock offs, integrity. They will be the boot of choice for my wife and I as long as we ride.

Forma Terra Boots
I am pleased with these boots. They are comfortable to wear on the bike. Protection seems to be really good. The sole is quite stiff, but you can walk in them good. I would not want to hike more than a half mile or so, but just walking around is fine.
The wate proof system works well, as long as it doesn't come in the top!
I originally ordered a size 11, but could not quite decide if they were big enough. I sent back and got a 12. These are fine, but 11 1/2 would have been better. The sizes may be a little small, but not to far off. I usually wear 11 in athletic shoes and boots.
The boots I got are the 'old' design without a pivot. I prefer this as the newer style with pivot looks cheap. They are quite tall, which I prefer, about 15" from floor. Shin guards still work with no problem. I can wear some pants over then, but some may be to tight.

Older style, minor issues but new Terra Evo are much better
My second set of Forma. I loved the adventure boots but they had almost no protection and very soft soles for standing on the pegs. These were a great improvement but pinched in the ankles. The sole delaminated a bit after a few rides. Forma sent me new Terra Evos. They are even better than this old version of the terra. All are waterproof and last a long time. I ride these on single track and logged over 100hrs on the bike this year. Highly recommend Forma!

Great boot, did not fit me in the calf.
This may be a different review because I ended up sending the boots back.
I have motocross boots that give a ton of protection however they are heavy bulky and not very comfortable. My goal was to find a boot that would be more comfortable and versital.

I was between the Adventure and the Terra and read a review which stated " if you plan to do a lot of standing get the Terra". I d tend to stand a lot, so I ordered the Terra.

The fit on my foot was great and true to size I wear an 11.5 so I ordered the 12. My calves are big and I just couldn't get the top to buckle comortably. So I sent the boots back, if they had fit well I would have kept them.

So my only real oprion was the Adventure low boot. I ended up ordering (paying) for the Adventure low because the exchange would have taken too long (leaving on a trip). The new boots fit well and will work well for me.

Well built boots
Boots fit well and seem well built. I initially ordered a 10 based on reviews as fit guide, but they were to tight on my wide feet. Received then in 3 days, returned them the day I got them and received the bigger size 11 boots 6 days later.

My only complaint about the boots is that the lining doesn't go to the top. Water over 9" will get in. But this seems to be fairly common.

Super Comfortable Right out of Box!
I had ordered Fox Racing Instinct Boots and sent them back, like wearing casts on my legs. The Forma boots are exactly what I was looking for. Super comfortable with good protection for my feet. I ride for pleasure in technical and desert areas. You wont be sorry if you choose these boots.

Forma Terra, Best Adventure boot for the Money
This is my second set of Forma boots. The first being the Adventure. I found the Adventure to be more comfortable, especially while walking. What the Terra boots give up to the Adventure in comfort, they make up in protection and durability.

I usually wear a size 10.5 shoe. I'm guessing I would order the size 11 in this boot. Any feedback on sizing and fit which might help me decide on a size to purchase would be greatly appreciated? Thanks
Jeffrey J on Jan 14, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Hey Jeffrey,
I just looked at my boots. There is no US size noted inside. The tag reads Euro44. I am also a size 10.5. Boots fit perfect. The only problem I have is right from the start, the right boot folds weird when I walk. It puts pressure on my ankle and is extremely uncomfortable. I tried both loosening and tightening and neither works. I think it might be defective. On another note, I haven't gotten many hours on them for a good break in. While actually riding the bike, they feel great. Walking, not so great.
Do you know what the Forma Terra Boots size 12 (46) weigh? I currently have Tech 8s which weigh 5# each and I want lighter. Tried Forma Adv and they weighed 2.5# each but, I didn't like the sole.
David N on Nov 9, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Just weighed each one, 54 oz each so that is 3lbs 6oz each. For me, an old BMW, KLR rider at this point, it’s the best I’ve ever had for me!
can these boots have a spacer added in the sole to raise my height 1/2 inch?
A shopper on Jan 9, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Rocky Mountain ATV/MC does not carry boot accessories to do that but you could try to contact Forma directly to see if they something for you.
My foot is 11 inches in length, what size forms terra?
A shopper on Feb 22, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Based off of Forma's sizing chart 11 inches would be a size 8 boot. They suggest that for off road boots you should order a size up from your regular shoe size. I will attach a link to their sizing chart below.

https://www.formabootsusa.com/pages/sizing
You list only US sizes for the Forma. I have another pair in the past and they are 46 EU. What size is that US? Some sites I have looked at say a 46 is like an 11.5 but you don't list 11.5 US as an option. Thanks.
Scott S on Sep 19, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I checked on Forma's website and they list the Euro size 46 is a 12 in U.S. size. I have attached the link to their sizing chart as well.
