Seems like a cross between a half helmet and a full face helmet.
I had noticed other reviews that discussed wearing sunglasses under the shield. Yes, there is room for sunglasses under the fairly lightly tinted shield. However, with three different pairs of sunglasses, the helmet needs to rock back on my head to accommodate the glasses making the visor less effective. For me, the helmet and shield work best without sunglasses. My impession of this helmet is that it is a Cross between my previous half helmet (Drifter) and a full face helmet. It partially covers my ears, requiring that I tuck the tops of my ears into recesses in the helmet padding. As such, it covers more of my noggin than I expected as a half helmet. I find it comfortable and a nice helmet (thus the five stars). For me, best with no sunglasses and just the lightly tinted shield.
I ride a '15 Harley Ultra Limited Low, which means that I'm well protected from the wind to start with. My old half helmet just wasn't good enough. I like the HJC IS-Cruiser because of the inner shield which blocks what little wind reaches my eyes and greatly reduced fatigue. I was worried that the peak was gonna be too small to cast the shadow over my eyes that I like... no worries, it's just fine. The two vents in the back actually DO suck out hot air from inside. The part of the chin strap that goes over the ears is very nice. I am much more than 100% pleased.
If you are in the market for a half helmet, don't fail to consider this one. Out of the box it is a bit snug, but I am confident it will loosen up a bit after I wear it more. Measure your head, as the hat size on the chart will put you down one size. The visor has a very light tint, which I appreciate, as I use polarized sunglasses if I want more tint. Airflow thru the helmet is good and I believe it will be as cool as anyone could reasonably expect. It remained firmly planted at 75 mph, with no tendency to "lift off". The tops of my ears do tuck under the lining, but it's in no way uncomfortable. I rode with the visor in both the up and down positions and detected no uncomfortable or unusual buffeting or noise in either position. Also, the visor seem deeper and a bit farther out from the nose than like others I have seen. Altogether, this is a well designed helmet at a great price and I do not hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a half helmet. I did rate it a 3 for protection only because it IS a half helmet, so please take that into consideration. On top of that, I must say that RM ATV/MC is a top shelf company to do business with and I have always been 100% satisfied!
BEST ANSWER:You will need to measure the circumference of your head 1" above your eyebrows and around the largest portion of the back of your head. Then reference the size chart in the link below.
