I'm 6-1, 170, 39" chest, 33" waist. The large fits me perfectly and allows me to fit a Fox Titan armored vest under it. I borrowed the Titan vest just to see if it would fit. I am going to go with a Moose Racing XC1 padded shirt - the Titan vest was too bulky for my liking. The description for the jacket does it no favors! There are 4 exterior pockets - two down by the waist (like where pockets in a sweatshirt would be, two vertical pockets on the chest, and one small interior pocket. My Samsung A51 phone (6" x 3") fits in any of them - just barely. Keys and wallet fit in the other. There is a huge pocket on the back for sleeves. It has a strap with buckle in the pocket that I assume is for wrapping the jacket up and packing it, but there are no instructions on the "right" way to do this, not sure that matters. The jacket also has a draw-string at the waist. It is made of what feels like durable nylon material, although it has no pads or armor, nor does it have a separate liner. There are 4 large vents on the front (diagonal zippers) and two large vents on the back. No vents on the sleeves, but the sleeves are removable.

    Outstanding Product

So I've had this jacket now for about 2 months and have ridden several hours in the woods and on the trials bike. First of all, when you get the jacket, take the time to find all the pockets and vents. It has plenty. No issues with any of the pockets. (The one inside left chest was the last to find). They hold gear although the front pockets are on the small side. Zippers hold, no issues. Waterproof/Windproof- Absolutely. I had the cuffs pulled tight and when I opened them after my first ride, sweat actually ran out of the sleeve. Venting- Two chest vents are minimal. 2 back vents are large. The key to venting is to open the sleeves and the front zipper. There's plenty of velcro up the front to hold the jacket closed and it allows ample air to vent through the back vents. You can also open the arm pit zippers accordingly. With the venting, you just need to get a little creative. Tough- I've ridden through green briars and brambles and nothing seems to snag on the jacket. Very tough. Sizing- Mine is a little large which gives me room to move. The sleeves are long which I prefer because my arms are long. When I'm prepping I just tug the sleeves tight around my wrist with the velcro straps to keep them out of the way. As I warm up riding, I just open the sleeves completely to vent my arms. I've ridden down to 20 degrees and don't have any trouble balancing the venting. Overall- This is a 5-star product. It performs extremely well. It would be a bargain at twice the price really because it appears that it will last a long time.

    FOX Recon Jacket

I really like the fit of this jacket. It is form-fitting and neat. After riding the trails, I can hit the restaurant in style. Plus, it's a worthwhile investment because even though it is lightweight it keeps me warm and dry for a night of riding and dining. It's practical and styled in good taste.

    Alright jacket

Sooo this is a nice jacket...! Really well made, looks great, nice pockets, the sleeves even come off which is great. However if your on the west side of the United States I wouldn’t recommend this jacket. It’s just a little to bulky and makes you feel confined when riding. You don’t have much maneuverability. Also the collar on the jacket doesn’t really sit down so it gets in the way of the helmet and you can’t move you head a whole lot. My suggestion would be to just layer up and wear a nice wind breaker over top.
