Knee Braces provide knee support and protection during those long races or trail rides.

At 68 years of age and coming off a knee replacement last Feb, I figured it was time to add the extra protection knee braces might offer. Since the surgery, fitment was of utmost priority and challenging. These braces are extremely comfortable, fit me very well, low profile enough for riding pants to easily fit over, and I feel they will provide peace of mind. Full disclosure, I have not made the tether connection, as of yet to comment about that. Seems like a good idea, though. I also ordered a pair of thigh high RM brace socks and am delighted with them. The only slight ding on the braces is carbon is very rigid, as it's supposed to be. But with larger thighs, a little upper cuff flexibility would be nice. Not a deal breaker, though. Overall, I'm extremely happy with this and all purchases through RM.

Brace fits well, and the conformal cuffs help make it feel secure and formed to my leg. Extra sizes of side knee pads help adjust fit to make a firm but comfortable fit. The brace padding material is some kind of foam rubber or flexible plastic. So it's going to get sweaty, but it also means you can just wipe it down when it gets stinky. I wear a spandex sleeve under the brace to help with sweat. The straps are all soft fabric, but they easily and completely detach from the frame so they can be put in the laundry. I tore my ACL, MCL and PCL riding about 6 months ago (no brace). With time, healing, surgery, and PT I'm starting to ride again. This brace really helps feel secure and add some confidence that I can take a mild fall without reinjury. Squeezing the tank with my knees is still a bit painful due to the pads on either side of the knee that lock the knee into the brace. One pad falls right over the torn MCL. I don't think this can be avoided with any other brand of brace that will actually support the knee laterally. It's pretty bulky compared to my daily carbon fiber brace, but that's probably due to all the guards on the brace. It's a dirtbike specific brace and needs all the guards. From what I read, this one is one of the slimmer ones.

After spending time riding with the POD knee braces, I can honestly say they live up to the hype. They aren't just fancy knee pads they feel like real protection you can rely on when things go sideways on the trail or track.

I very closely used the measurements and fit chart. They felt pretty good when I put them on for a test fit and wore them around the house for 30 minutes or so. Turns out they are super tight on the knee at the pivot point, took about an hour on the trail to realize this. I did change the pads size and that helped some. Long run, I think I will get use the the tightness. Upside is that I feel like they offer excellent protection! I did not realize that these are "slip on" only. You have to pull them up over your foot and calf, so you have to have your boots and pants off to put them on or take them off for a rest.

Pricey, but a quality inner sleeve. Size runs true. Ordered a Large based on reviews here, but exchanging for a medium as the large was a little loose (I'm 5'8" and 165lbs).
