Love them!!! I used many others before this. I was looking for something light and comfortable and protective on rocks and trees .... I think I find the one!!
After landing on a rock with my elbow during a high-speed fall, I knew I needed some elbow protection. I reviewed every elbow guard on the market, and finally decided on these. They were a little pricey, but worth every penny. I haven't ridden in hot weather with them, but I don't feel like they will be uncomfortable, based on the riding I have done. They are very soft and flexible, not your typical plastic shell type guards. They form well to your arm and elbow, and move comfortably with you as you ride. No issues with sliding down my arm, and they are not overly tight. I won't ride without them again.
these are great fitting, you can go down a size if you like your stuff really snug, these have great protection, super comfortable and you don't even feel them on.
Used these under a Klim Mojave jersey for a very hot 105F+ desert ride in August- much to my surprise these caused zero arm pump - this over 3 days of about 11 hours each on the bike. Comfortable enough to forget that I had them on and never felt hot. The elastic that holds the top part around my bicep did feel itchy when i took them off, but that's a small price to pay for the protection.
No big crashes with them on, so no input there *yet*. ( it *will* happen) But other Leatt products have always worked.
I like these guards. They fit well and are comfortable. They provide a little extra piece of mind and protection on your elbows. They are light weight. Mine didn’t move around too much. Not enough to bug me anyway. They are easy to pull on and off. They are a little hot though.
Fit great. Loved them on my first ride. Second ride I got really bad arm pump from them. I’ll keep trying them to see if I can figure out how to make them work for me. Quality and design is clearly top notch
These things are light. They dont move and they breathe like nobodys business. Now the down side... I followed the suzing chart and got the proper size for my bicep. However during riding I noticed that the feeling in both of my hands and arms completely goes away. I have ridden with them for about 5 hrs now and if i can maybe break them in ill change my rating.
I found these much more comfortable than the hard shell ones w/only 2 straps to hold on. These do not slide down when you have a hard impact or over time. They stay in place and don't move around. I'm got over 100 miles in with them but, I haven't rode in any heat yet. That's my only concern.
on my second pair of these. very comfortable, no slip and no arm pump. sleeves go about 1/2 to 3/4 way up bicept and have a compression type fit. fitment is great unless your're Popeye. can machine wash too.
Bought these to try out. Wow. Raced a 6 hr team harescramble and they felt wonderful. Never slid down on arm. Made a couple of adjustment to make sure they were still on arms!!! They are that comfortable!! Great protection but not ready to test that part!
I wanted a comfortable elbow guard without straps which a) don't seem to hold in place and b) can contribute to arm pump. These seem to fit the bill. They're very comfortable. I never thought about them on a recent ride.
Sizing seems spot on. Go to Leatt website for sizing info. I measured 12" and got a Large. The upper arm fit was great, but loose at the forearm. They stayed in place though. I tried a medium, but way too tight in the bicep.
I race single track with a lot of limb slappers. Elbow protection Is a must down hear in the Southeast. These Leatt's wear really good, very comfortable, do not cut off circulation. I wear them under my jersey and they stay in place perfectly. Best thing is when they get sweat funky, just toss the whole guard in the washing machine. Buy um you will not be disappointed!!
BEST ANSWER:Hi Benjamin, I would recommend the XXL size guard. While you are riding your muscles will pump up and the lactic acid will expand the size of your arms. I think the XL will become too tight after riding for a bit. Thanks.
