Poor packaging. Solid protection.
Got large/xl. These have done their job on protecting my knee from random sharp objects and roost. However when Leatt packages these they wrap one of the knee guards around the other. When they did this it caused over time the one that is wrapping the others elastic to stretch. As if one guard was almost worn out already. All to save space for cheaper packaging.

I knew this from the beginning when they were new but I thought it wasn’t an issue... at first. My first ride one side would fall down. This is an issue if you are tall but have thinner legs and think you’ll need the straps somewhat tight. (As I’ve tried the small/medium size and they make the plastic parts smaller too so it wouldn’t work as it was scaled too small)

Leatt needs to package these separate in a bigger packaging bag to prevent this elastic stretching. I kept them because now I use a ‘no-residue tape’ to hold them in place against my thigh long moto socks.

Great fit, don't even feel em while I'm riding. If your tryin to be sneaky, they squeak a little. Seem very protective. Haven't had a hard get off yet, but they seem great

i love these guards
I have had two pairs of these, first were stolen sadly but i just got my second pair today because of how much i like them. mobility is fantastic, they are very comfortable and the level of protection is perfect. if you're not wanting to spend hundreds on braces these are absolutely your best option for protection, comfort, and usability. ill be keeping these until they wear out, then buying another pair

Riding after tkr surgery
Last May I had a total knee replacement which is so good at this point, I decided to start riding again. My surgeon recommended a solid protective device instead of a brace, so I got these. So far they are very nice. They cover my knee completely and are very comfortable. The strap are easy to use and are comfortable. Very happy with these.

Good but not great
The protection level and movement on these is great, best next to an actual brace I would say. Though when I wear them the bottom of the guard seems to dig in to my shin and is extremely uncomfortable on longer rides (4 hours or more) and I can't seem to get it adjusted to where it doesn't feel like this is happening, I tend to wear these one day but switch back to my cheaper 20$ ones the next day especially if I know its going to be a long day on a more technical trail. If I were to do it again I think I would try the Leatt endure knee guards instead.

saved my knee
had a big crash a couple weeks ago and landed straight on my knee and I don't want to know what would have happened if I didn't have this thing on.

Do you wear them over top your boots or under?
Michael H on Mar 25, 2017
BEST ANSWER: These are designed to fit inside the top of your boots while being worn under the pants.
Doesn't say, but I assume these are sold as a pair?
A shopper on Mar 1, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes, sold as a pair. They are also marked on the inside padding for Left/Right knee. I love mine hardly notice them when they are on.
how is the protection on the sides of the knees?
Hannah C on May 31, 2017
BEST ANSWER: These guards don't have complete wrap around side coverage if that's what your looking for, but the side coverage is the best I've seen compared to other knee guards I have used in the past. If you took a direct hit to the side (T-bone) it wouldn't offer complete protection, but is far better than not having anything. I'd say, in my opinion, you probably would have around 60% side protection maybe a little more, but that is subjective. I've been very pleased with these. Very comfortable and great knee cap and shin area protection.
Do they prevent hyper-extension of the knee?
DAVID S on Apr 18, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Hi David, the Dual-Axis do not offer protection against hyper-extension. They are a CE rated protection piece for impact, punctures, and abrasions. If you are looking for solid knee protection, including ACL MCL meniscus and hyper-extension prevention, I would recommend our C-Frame Pro, X-Frame, or Z-Frame knee braces.

Can anyone tell me the length top to bottom of either the XL or XXL?
Brian J on Oct 3, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Hi Brian, the length of the L/XL is roughly 17 3/4" long. Thanks.
Do these knee guards have Velcro? I currently own two pairs of Thor Force knee guards and the Velcro on them wears rather quickly and folds back into my legs causing lots of irritation. Looking to rid of those and switch to something more comfortable.
A shopper on Nov 28, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Hello, these have three straps that are adjusted by Velcro and held in place with clips. The Velcro is used for fitting the pads on the first use, then you can use the clips to put on and take off the pads.
