Awesome product except the color.
I just received this and can’t wait to use it! This seems like a very well thought out bag, leatt didn’t seem to miss a thing on it except for the color.

leatt has poor service
I have ridden with the backpack for about 6 months, and one of the chest strap buckets broke. It wouldn’t be an issue, but leatt doesn’t carry or sell and parts for their protective equipment. So I’m out a couple hundred bucks for a pack I can’t get a buckle for and leatt customer service doesn’t care. This will be the last Leatt purchase I make. I would suggest finding an equipment provider with better customer service.

Great product
I am 5'-7" 175lbs and it fits me great. based on 1 size fits all, I would say that the chest portion might be a little small for a large guy. I filled it with tools, a snack, and water in the bladder and did a 40 mile single track ride. It stayed in place perfectly. I use an EVO neck brace and it works great. I can see where the Leatte device might work slightly better. Only down side for me is the color of the pack (white). I will have to work at it to keep it somewhat clean. Otherwise, great product. worth the $$$.

Great product
I love the size and fit, just wish it was a bit less expensive and I wish it had shoulder pads for more protection. Would recommend.

One star
I have the first gen version which I still wear. The first gen has the chest strap that holds the pack in place. The new one does not have the chest strap. It moves around a bit more especially if you have the goods in the pack. If you could find a first gen I would buy it up and get another one for me also (I’ll pay you back). If not... save your money. Great idea but first gen version is 100 times better and stays in place and is much more comfortable.

Excellent Dual Purpose Backpack/Chest Protector
Just picked up one of these combos before a riding trip at the Hatfield McCoy systems in WV. I’ve ridden around 60 miles with this set up and so far I really like it. The straps and adjustments are difficult to nail down, but when you do a full back feels one with your body just like it’s supposed to. And the water bladder design and engineering, superb. The water system has been thought out specifically with the off-roader in mind. The down side is that there not a super efficient way to keep the water tube attached to the chest protector. The item includes velcro to use as well though. Despite the down sides I highly recommend this to any off-roader whose looking for a comfortable, incredibly well designed back pack, and a chest protector that gets the job done, this set up is it. Excellent product here.

Like all my other leatt products, this is built well and well thought out. Works well with my leatt neck brace. it has plenty of room for a rain coat and lunch, or whatever you may want to bring on the trail. It does not seem heavy

Can the backpack be removed from the chest protector and worn separately? I want to be able to use the backpack/hydration for hiking as well. Thank you.
James B on Feb 24, 2019
BEST ANSWER: The answer is No. They are meant to be used together. Great concept, but poor design.
Anyone use this for racing enduro or hare scrambles?...Or is the pack just too big for that application? Thanks
Corey C on Oct 14, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I've been using this pack for two years, absolutely love it, but I wouldn't recommend using it for a race, when filled with water or other objects it tends to get heavy, and starts to hurt my shoulders. This pack is perfect for dual sports or long trail rides. If you are doing races I recommend USWE packs they don't move at all! If you are a woman like me the chest protector doesn't fit the best, its best to buy the leatt women's chest protector and swap the chest piece out. hope this helps !!!!
Can the Hydration pack be removed? It looks like the base of this pack is a Leatt 4.5 Chest Protector?
Tyler B on Feb 1, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Yes the Hydration pack can be removed, there is a clip on the top of the pack that clips into the backpack. Great backpack and chest protector!!!!
Is white the only color option???
A shopper on Nov 16, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes, the white is the only option available.
Can this pack be ordered with the xxl 4.5 chest protector front plate installed?
Luke R on Oct 26, 2019
BEST ANSWER: We do not offer a package deal like that at this time.
What happened to the chest strap like on the first version?? Definitely a step backwards.
A shopper on May 24, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Not sure about a chest strap but it has 2 side straps and fits well. Great product, I just wish it had shoulder pads for more protection.
I just bought the hydration pack from RMatv and it did not come with a bladder. Are they supposed to come with one?
Alan T on Jan 12, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Hi Alan, the Hydra should have come with a 2L bladder. If you did not receive one, please contact us at [email protected] and we will help you out. Thanks
The 2014 version claims a 3 liter hydration bag comared to this updated versions 2 liter bag but both claim 10 liters storage. I have the 2014 version and the new version seems to have a significantly larger storage capacity. Is this an error? The goggle area is new and the outer storage seems about 1 1/2 inches deeper. Please confirm or explain how this can be. Thanks
Gregory E on Sep 14, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Hi Gregory, the new Hydra is a 2L horizontal bladder with 25L of storage. I checked our sale copy and the wording is incorrect. We will get this corrected. Thanks.
What size is this chest protector?
A shopper on Jul 10, 2018
BEST ANSWER: There is no direct size since it is a hydration pack and the straps can be adjusted to fit most riders. The size of the front plate is the same size as our Adult chest protector which fits a broad range of riders.
Do they have shoulder and elbow protector you can add on to this system?
Paul H on Apr 17, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Hello, no there is no add-on shoulder or elbow protection on the hydration packs.
